  1. Hello, the reference range for the Immunoglobulin A, Qn, Serum is 70-400.... can you tell me what that test was for??
  2. Hi, I picked up my lab results, I was wondering if anyone can help explain them. They were done at LabCorp, and read as follows: Endomysial Antibody IgA Negative t-Transglutaminase (tTG) IgA 0 reference interval U?mL 0-3 lab 01 Immnoglobulin A Qn, Serum 90 the rest was just blood sugars, and showing my vitamin D levels were low...
  3. hello, that i would say something as well. I am not diagnosed yet, but do feel a lot better, being gluten free for a couple of months now. Do I understand correctly, you still have GERD? my GERD has improved, but I still have symptoms. I have noticed, that for me, ANY citrus, oranges, tangerines, anything, will increase my heartburn. I cant do any soda, nothing...
  4. thanks everyone! good idea, I will get those tests results,, then I can post them here. I am wondering what the numbers are, I should have asked!! I really do feel better being gluten free, so I dont think Im going to eat gluten just for tests....
  5. skinnykid, I completely agree with your diagnosis!
  6. If the celiac blood panel comes out negative, can a person still be gluten intolerant? I think I already know the answer, but just want to make sure, this is all so confusing!! Im doing better off the gluten, but the blood panel did come back neg, (I was gluten free for several weeks though)
  7. Hello, Im not sure, but I may be having a reaction to these gummi bears, the ingredients read as "sugar, cornsyrup, gelatin, citric acid, natural and artificial flavors, white grape juice, hydrgenated coconut oil, carnumba wax, artificial colors, red 40, yellow 5, yellow 6, blue 1 and beeswax. Not sure if it was these or not, but started to have stomach issues...
  8. Hello, just wanted to post an update. Yesterday I had my follow up with my endocrinologist (sp). I really love her. Out of all the quack GI docs I have seen, she is the ONLY one who is trying to help. Anyway, she did do a celiac panel, but, that came back normal. However, she said that since I was already gluten free for almost 6 weeks by the time the test...
  9. Hello, just thought I would jump in here. My four month old grandbaby is going through the same thing. I am being tested now for celiacs, and have a slew of problems, and I do seem to be better off of gluten. Anyhoo, my daughters entire life, she has had GERD. Now, with her baby, the doc already tried him on baby zantac, now he was just prescribed baby Prevacid...
  10. Sorry if this has been asked before. I think I stumbled upon someone bringing this up yesteday, but I cant find the post. Anyway, if you suspect gluten is causing problems, and your gluten free for a while, then, if you eat gluten, and get sick, does that mean your gluten sensitive? or, does that happen to anybody, if they arent gluten sensitive, but have...
  11. Hi Spunky, you hit the nail on the head! Everything you said summed me up. I know in my heart, that I cant eat gluten. And, I know in my heart that must be the reason for all these ailments. All the doctors I have seen, can tell me something is wrong, but no one can ever tell me why. Yesterdays GI appointment was a nightmare. I posted that story here on a...
  12. Hello, I have been wondering, that since celiac is considered an auto immune disease, isnt there doctors that specialize in auto immune disorders? I am wondering because of all the problems I have personally had, and Im sure everyone here as well, have had with GI's. I did see a rhumotologist, who already said I have an auto immune disorder, he is assuming...

    ARCHIVED Worst Appointment Ever

Hello, I think I may have experienced the most retarded appointment ever. Yesterday, I finally seen a new GI doctor. I was referred by my pcp, because of the history of problems, and most recently I had a gallbladder flare up, and my pancreatic enzymes were high. So, enter the appointment. At first, I was so excited, I mean, by the time I got the referral...
  15. Does Red Vines licorice have gluten? I went to the movies, had about 5 pieces, thinking that was ok. By that night, and for the next 2 days, I have had bad D and stomach cramps. Could it have been the licorice?
  16. Hello, okay, so, Im dying. Bad stomach pain. What in the heck am I thinking! I feel bad, like in a way I should be eating gluten because I feel guilty because I have a doctor that actually ordered the blood tests, so, stupid me, started to eat gluten. How dumb am I?? I give up. Im just gonna get the blood tests, and what ever happens, happens. Nothing is...
  17. Hi Monkey, I have not been officially diagnosed yet, but I figured I would say something. I have several posts here on this board, about my journey. I have been diagnosed all my adult life with IBS, had almost every test you can think of, seen several different GI docs, and have only been told I have IBS. Well, after all these years of suffering, putting...
  18. Hello all! you do remember correct, it was flattened mucosa in the TI. But, in the same report, he ruled out Chrons and colitis. Said I was normal. So, I just thought it was interesting that the endo decided to check for celiacs. Since Im getting the blood work anyhow, because she is checking other things as well, Im just going to see what it says. Interesting...
  19. Hello all, I just noticed, that my endrocinologist, ordered a celiac disease panel test, I am being seen by her because of a severe vitamin d deficiency. Weird thing, I was just telling her all my problems, and after I mentioned to her the findings from a GI doc, right when I said "flattened mucosa" she said, "that is Celiacs disease, that would explain why...
  20. Hi all! yep, I am definitly getting a second opinion. I cant wait to see what they say! Ill let you all know, thanks
  21. HI, actually, that day I had both done. The "flattened mucosa" was seen within the "terminal ileum" whatever that is. On my report, he does say No evidence of ileitis or colitis was seen. Also, had a biopsy, that said negative for microscopic colitis. So, safe to say it isnt colitis? Wish I knew what all this meant!
  22. Hi Lori, I havent been diagnosed yet, but I understand what your saying. Im thankfully blessed that my family is very supportive of me, especially my husband. He cant stand to see me sick. I do have a friend, that comes into town every now and again, and always tries to offer me everything I cant eat, then looks at me like Im just rude. Oh well, I just figure...
  23. Hi ShayFL! I didnt think that was normal at all either. I finally get my health insurance back on the first, I will request a second opinion. Im just going to take all my reports, along with a list of symptoms, to the new doctor. Although, this past month of October I have been gluten free, Im staying this way. I feel a ton better, so I dont care anymore...
  24. Hello all, I may have posted this before, I cant find it, but, can someone help explain what this means, in my pathology report, it says "somewhat flattened mucosa was seen in the TI." Can anyone tell me what that might mean? is that a normal finding? Im asking because in my follow up appt, my doc didnt say anything to me about it, wasnt until I got this...
  25. Im not diagnosed yet, but since I stopped the gluten, headaches stopped too. I would have them really bad, sometimes lasting a week straight....
