  4. ok, so i just found their number online and called it. i asked about their cleaning process and it sounds pretty good. in between batches they take apart the machine and clean it, sanitize asnd dry all the pieces before putting it back together. so this pretty much is like a bunch of other companies out there who do the same thing. think i might try...
  5. thanks for all the info guys!!!! chemistmama, i will be definatley looking into zachary brands! richard, you would eat them even if they say they are made in the same factory as wheat is handled??? that makes me a little nervous. i should call and see if the lines are cleaned in between batches!

  8. i too eat orville with no problem. i have also contacted conagra and they should be trusted. perhaps maybe your using a pan that might have been used to cook something with gluten in it or maybe a bowl or butter that was cross contaminated?????
  9. Yes, sounds silly, but I'm just trying to be ultra careful! For instance, after your mate might drink a regular beer or eat pizza, or cookies or anything with gluten. Are you comfortable kissing, and I mean "REALLY" kissing them Sometimes I ask my hubby to brush his teeth if he had just eaten gluten. DON'T LAUGH AT ME Just want to be careful!...
  10. also, if your dr. agrees's try miralax for your constipation. i use it frequently as i was always constipated BEFORE i got pregnant, and now it's sooooo much worse!!!!! if your having it bad, try to stay away from too much cheese and rice. it' kills me!!!! they are binding ingredients and are good for when your bowels go the OTHER way!
  11. Congrats! eggs are a great thing to keep eating while your preggie!! we had sausage with busquick pancakes last night. i use the banquet brown and serve. but jones and jimmy dean i think are also gluten-free, check first there are so many things you can still eat. you just have to read everything, and every time you buy it too! hormel has a new line...
  12. YES, I am one of those who actually doesn't mind the regular maple syrups we all grew up with. Plus, with everything else that I have to spend on gluten-free products, I can't justify spending the extra money on real maple syrup. So I called kelloggs and the told me that their syrup was indeed gluten free. Along with their yogos, fruit snacks, and those...
  13. I've been gluten-free for 10 years and THOUGHT I had it down pat! BUT, I think I'm getting glutened. I only get one sympton when glutened, and it's not nice for my family, if you know what I mean!!!!! So lately I've been "that way" and I have been ultra careful ( I am pregnant and trying SOOOO hard!!!) But I'm still "gassy". Not sure if it's due to the...

    ARCHIVED Tums

first off, yes most tums are gluten-free!!! yay!!!! i'm taking the tropical fruit ultimate 1000 or whatever they're called and they are gluten-free. i only take them occasionally but i just might be rethinking that, to more if i now might want to stop my priolosec. you guys have gotten me a little concerned. i've been taking omerperazole for about 3...
  16. thanks for finding this info! isn't it so scary that the drs. don't even know this???? those researchers better get on the ball and figure out what is what!!!!!! and i'm with ya! i'll put about 1/4 cup on my cereal! but now that you say it causes extra estrogen, is it ok for us (when not preg or breastfeeding women) to have the extra estrogen. doesn...
  17. i thought i read somewhere that these products are ok and will list any glutens. does anyone else rememeber seeing that? thanks so much! De

  19. hi, thanks for the info! this is my fourth!!! i don't remember them starting this early before. plus, i'm 39!!!! but i think i might have been dehydrated on tues. i've been having problems with that when it's extra hot out! but i drank LOTS of water yesterday and felt better!!!! i'm feeling the movements, i think. so it could have been that too? who...
  20. SG, let me know what your research comes up with. i'm sooooooo hoping this to not be true. but i don't want to risk it! especially since i think i'm already experiencing braxton hicks at almost 15 weeks~
  21. and i USED to eat it every day! was doing some research about flaxsead and found some conflicting reports that pregnant ladies should now stay away from it. apparently it contains a fatty acid that is or can trigger a certain hormone, that can "possibly" put preggies at a higher risk for preterm labor!!!! so i called my dr. and of course she had never...
  22. I had successful pregnancies before dx and now 1.5 after i'm pregnant now, 14 weeks. all my pregnancies were pretty much the same. i'm one of those people who didn't show symptoms before dx. my kids' weight ranged from 8-9 lbs. the only thing (hopefully) i've ever dealt with durning preg. is pregnancy induced hypertension. it never went into preclampsia...
  23. first of all congrats!!! secondly, i'm not totally sure on this, but i think a celiac has always HAD the disease. it's just at what point in our lives, are we dx. like some people don't show symptoms until a certain point, or some never show symptoms. it's still lying there underneath. KWIM? i don't think that just one day it decides to pop up in our...
