  1. I've started to take notice of what comes out from what I am putting in lately and I'm noticing my "output" has turned tan and when I look closer at the top of the water I am seeing what I first thought was bubbles but then I realized they are tiny dropplets of oil. Is this what it's suppose to look like with a gluten intolerance? Thanks once again...
  2. Thank you for your input, we may or may not simply say he is Celiac just to simplify things. I was thinking today that if we told people he's intolerant they may not take much notice but when people hear the word disease, they tend to take notice and greater care.
  3. Would that have just shown up though, within the past couple of days? He just had his iron checked 2 months ago.
  4. My little guy has always had a healthy facial appearance but since giving him barley this past week (he's not diagnosed as of yet) I have noticed the skin underneath his eyes have become dark, like he's been hit but instead of swelling it's sunken in. Does that make sense? Is this typical?
  5. Thank you for your help! Now I have to wait until the 27th; 2 more weeks! (I hate waiting!)
  6. Do we have to visit a GI for this test or can any doc do this test?
  7. I've had it checked twice with normal results. I'm tired of picking hairs off of my sheets, pillow, brush and clothes.
  8. My son is not diagnosed with celiacs but I strongly suspect but he has a positive delayed allergy.
  9. How is that test performed? Can they diagnose my son as Celiac that way so I don't have to purposefully hurt him? (if the genes are there) I don't recall many visits to the Dr. as a child and I do remember my mother telling me that she took me to the Ped. because I wouldn't eat anything but a few foods and he told her not to worry, it was a phase due...
  10. But I don't know if putting him through weeks of eating gluten would be the best for him either. I am so confused! Yes, a proper diagnosis would most certainly give me peace of mind as I hate maybe's in life. I don't know what to do. I am hoping his ped. will be able to give me more information.
  11. I've always been petite and being in high school I recall all of my friends being bigger than I was and I was teased by the boys because my "girls" were glorified bug bites 34AA I am nursing and I am a 36A.......maybe a loose B but when I finish breastfeeding I am back to a not quite full A. I found that when I was PG and at the beginning of nursing that...
  12. I don't know if this is the same thing but when I go gluten-free I get sick for the first week or so then I feel better. But now it takes more time to prepare a meal and sometimes I just don't want to bother with it or I don't have the time. I also find that my appetite changes when I am gluten-free and my cravings and hunger pains lessen a lot. I lose...
  13. For now I home school my children for many different reasons, one being many food allergies and this would be just one more for our family. I'm interested to see what else others have to say in their experiences as well. I'm just not wanting to put him through being sick to maybe get a positive result. I wish there was another way
  14. Ok, so I am on the verge of taking my son to the doc on the 27th to discuss his possible celiac, definitely intolerance and I know I am at least intolerant. I'm concerned about not being properly diagnosed with Celiac's if we are at all. I want to know the benefits and pitfalls of a diagnosis. My 2 year old son has always had GI issues and with suspicious...
  15. Wow, I never thought about that before! What you describe is what I get when I am PG and it's horribly painful, like somebody put a blanket of pain over me and it washes in waves. Is this what you are describing? It makes me wonder if my gluten intolerance gave me worse symptoms while PG? I think I ought to make a new thread LOL I don't want to hijack...
  16. Very soon after I eat I get a sharp pain in my stomach and I can feel that pain for the rest of the day or so as it travels my digestive system. Later I get gas that just won't stop and constipation. Brain fog, drugged feelings and general stupor. OH, and I quite often get anxious and sometimes RLS.
  17. Yikes! Really????? I have so much to think about, I am not sure where to start!
  18. Ya, my son has days where he poops multiple times as well and in retrospect he's shown the signs all along but I didn't know them. I recall many poops like the one I am talking about because the smell is unforgettable! Why does it smell like moth balls? I recall once that what he ate came out so quick that the banana's also came out just like how he swallowed...
  19. Is yellow poop only reserved for Celiac's or do you think it may be another intestinal disorder/disease? I certainly would want it treated right, I guess I have to also remember the gluten that was given and yellow poop was the result. I am still learning
  20. (((HUGS))) Mama, I understand the feeling of somebody touching me 24/7 and needing just some time by myself! I don't have any advice for you but just wanted to say I feel for you!
  21. I'm hoping insurance will help pay for food at least and am hoping there are other benefits as well. I feel like I am lying if I say that my son and I have Celiac's if it's not been proved and diagnosed. I'm overly honest that way, is that lame? LOL
  22. So I am almost convinced my 2 year old has a gluten intolerance if not Celiac and I would like the official diagnosis but I don't want him on gluten for weeks if it's a "maybe" or a negative altogether. He's only 2 and I took him off wheat at 4 months of age (he was exclusively breastfed so I was really the one off of wheat for his delayed allergies) and...
  23. What great advice, thank you!
  24. I think I will have to put my 2 year old through this soon enough and I am not looking forward to it. My heart goes out to you and your little one!
  25. I don't have a diagnosis but I do know I am at least gluten sensitive and have trialed wheat products this past week and within 30 min. I started having symptoms and pain in my stomach, 3 days later I am still having pain in my intestines.
