  1. Rub your feet, (massage) with Vapor Rub, put socks on , and see if your cough improves. I have a couple friends that swear it gets rid of their cough. I haven't had a cold in years, so I haven't tried this. Let me know if it works!

    ARCHIVED Seriously...

It is such a puzzle! Have you checked your chicken broth? And a lot of meats (chicken) are frozen in a chicken broth solution. My can opener was getting me, now I have two and they go in the dishwasher immediately after usuing. I also wonder about any preservaives or chemicals, are we more sensitive to them? I have been trying very hard since August...
  3. I got to the point that I could not eat anything and was losing almost a pound a day. Started drinking Ensure, has the nutrients your body is probably needing, and while I didn't like the taste, I drank 4-5 a day and slowly was able to start putting real food back in my diet. Drank them for about three weeks, getting down to a couple in between meals...
  4. Are you sure you are gluten free, I am still learning that is the hardest part. I have been reading another post "rain barrel affect" and it makes sense. What I can't figure out is wheteher I am still getting into gluten or it is the process of healing. Every three- five days, my stool will become pale and different and then I have DH on a couple fingers...
  5. What kind of dark chocolate do you eat??
  6. Your story is like mine. I have always had the energy of 3 people and last Febuary I got extremely sick after eating out and having a big greasy steak. I actually thought I was having a stroke (nueroapathy) or food poisoned, and then so tired I couldn't get off the couch. (Plus all the gut, brain, skin issues. started eventually) Went to several specialists...
  7. I react to Lay's products and I hate it becuase I love a good salty potato chip. I have read that the cheese puffs/ curls are chemicals, so probably not vey good for us anyway. I am awfully glad that old fashioned popped popcorn likes me! I replace the popcorn for chips when I am hungry for chips.
  8. I wouldn't do the Carnation Instant. I think (I'm just learning too) I react to any type of vanilla in any product.EVEN when it says gluten free, if it has vanilla or vanillin , my body objects! When I was so malnourished I drank Ensure between meals until I felt strong enough to handle a regular diet. Just the basic food groups , all unprocessed, and...
  9. I am new at this, learning that there are so many ways of being contaminated..Just when I thought I had it figured out, I was glutened again. I have decided it was either the distilled vinegar in the gluten free mayo, the real vanilla in gluten free chocalte chips or my can opener, that I haven't been real good at cleaning. I get so sick, I don't even want...
  10. That was one of the first weird symptoms I had, plus super fatique. I am 58 years old and the first ones actually felt like they were on the right side of body, rushing to emergeny rooms and neuroligist only to be told that I was healthy, no stroke, no brain tumor, etc. Then it seemed like different parts of body or whole body would experience them. Almost...
  11. I have had some eye "problems" that cleared up after going gluten free. I wear contacts and my left eye contact didn't fit right and seemed smudged. I also had anxiousness, thinking all my symptoms couldn't be due to one thing, but as I heal, just about everything that is a problem is clearing up. The brain fog is hard to describe, weird, anxniousness...
  12. I too feel like I'm learning the hard way. Seems like once a week, I have some symptoms, and the last two I can't figure out what it is...unless my can opener is the culprit. Or do you have symptoms without gettting glutened? Have been trying to stay gluten free since AUGUST OF 2008. I have been blaming white vinegar, vanilla, and several other things...
  13. I am newly self diagnosed. Since going gluten free, My symptoms which include gut, brain, and skin, all are improving, except when I get gluten back in my system, not quite as bad, but still miserable. I am having trouble with labels stating they are gluten free, but have either white vinegar, vanilla or food coloring, which all give me gluten symptoms...
