  1. I feel bad asking this because I think it has been posted before, but is there a list of lipsticks and that are safe to use that you can buy in regular stores?
  2. I'm just curious if anyone know about Puffins Cereal. They only say wheat free. Is one to assume that they are not gluten free because they are used on shared epuipment? Are they ok for people who are not super sensitive??
  3. I have tried to make two batches of gluten-free cookies, and I had to throw both away. First of all, can you use Egg replacement in cookies, and second of all, can you replace the butter with canola oil. Here is what I used: 1. 10 tbsp. of canola oil 2. 1 1/4 c. brown sugar 3. 1 tsp. gluten-free vanilla 4. 1/4 c. egg substitute 5. 2 1/4 c gluten...
  4. This makes me laugh! I always "Secretly" sniff foods when people aren't looking. I was just sniffing my daughters Valentine Chocolates today, and I always sniff Chick-fil-a because I MISS IT SO MUCH!!!
  5. Wow - I am so frustrated! My parents just spent the weekend with my family because I was very sick, and they were trying to help out with my kids. Oh, what a big help that was! My Parents kept letting me know that they basically think I am crazy because I insist on using my own set of pans and utensils. Then my Mom will always try to cook something for...
  6. thanks for your help
  7. I was hoping someone could help me with gluten free medicines. On Friday I got extremely sick, and I have got some crazy issues going on. First of all, as I mentioned before, I have untreated Candida. I tried the generic for Diflucan, but I was too sick to keep taking it. I just went off my pain medicine (tramadol) that I have been taking for about 3...
  8. Thanks for the support! I quit taking my digestive enzymes and my probiotics because they were making me feel so bloated (is that normal?). I have tried many different kinds too. I heard that Digest Gold was supposed to be the best. However, my Doctor put me on Amitiza and that helped tremendously. I am waiting to talk to my Family Doctor about the candida...
  9. I have been reading a lot of the posts in this "coping" section, and I'm glad to know I'm not alone. I feel so crazy at times. Ever since I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease (about a year ago), I have had all these CRAZY health issues. One week I feel really good, and then one week I feel really bad. I was also just recently diagnosed with Candida, and...
  10. It does seem to be too good to be true, but I would definitely give it a try. I have had so many strange health issues since I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. I never know how I am going to feel from day to day. It really gets me down. Wow, it's exciting to think that I could enjoy my favorite dinners with my kids again, or go out to eat and order...

    ARCHIVED Candida

Thanks for all the advice. I still don't know what I am going to do for sure. The problem is that I do have a diet that tends to be high in sugar. I eat a big bowl of Gluten free corn flakes with tons of fruit in it every morning. I love it!! I have never liked things like: bacon, sausage, or eggs. I have ALWAYS been a big bowl of cereal type of girl...

    ARCHIVED Candida

Hi! I have had Celiac Disease for almost a year now, and I just recently found out that I have Candida. My Doctor prescribed Fluconazole for me (which is the generic for Diflucan). I keep reading about all the side effects, and now I am scared to take it. I already have so many issues with the Celiac Disease and other food allergies. It is rare for me...
