I have Celiac Disease, food allergies, constant muscle pain, and Candida. I finally found the will power I needed to start trying to fight the Candida after being in denial. Last week I tried activated charcoal to see if it might help with bloating, and I also tried Yeast Cleanse by Solaray. I got some of the worst back pain and muscle aches in my life...

ARCHIVED Solaray Yeast Cleanse
Lexi posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Has anyone had good luck with Solary Yeast Cleanse, and is it gluten free??? -
I have posted about my issues with Candida several times now. I was diagnosed in December, but have had so many other health issues, that I haven't properly treated myself for it yet. I can't take it anymore! The body cannot cope with this anymore. I tried Candex, but didn't have much luck with it. I have decided to go ahead and try the Diflucan that...

ARCHIVED Activated Charcoal
Lexi posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Just wondering if anyone has had any luck with activated charcoal. I was reading about it, and a lot of people say they get relief from bloating when using it. Seems like a weird thing to take. -
I have been searching the net trying to find out if Solaray Yeast Cleanse is gluten free. Does anyone know?

I have been battling with Candida for about 6 months now. I have wrote for advice several times. I tried Candex, but don't seem to be having much success with it. My Doctor prescribed the generic for Diflucan, but I have yet to take it because I am afraid of the side effects. I am wondering if I should just go ahead and take it, but keep taking the candex...

ARCHIVED Oxy Powder
Lexi replied to Lexi's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I did eliminate soy, and recently eliminated dairy. I did feel much better after that, but still go through constipation and bloating quite frequently. -
I am constantly trying to find something to help with the constipation and bloating that I frequently experience with Celiac Disease. I came across Oxy Powder on the internet. It sounds like it would be good. Has anyone tried it??

ARCHIVED Why Do Some People With Celiac Disease Look So Healthy And Other's Don't
Lexi replied to Ms. Skinny Chic's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I was wondering the same thing. I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease about a year and a half ago, and everytime I see a picture of myself, I feel like I look sickly. I am about 102 pounds, and my family thinks I'm too thin, but I am perfectly happy at this weight. I just want to look and feel and look healthy. I was also diagnosed with fibromyalgia today... -
I am still unclear as to WHY melatonin is not good for people with Immune Disorders.
-
I have been having a lot of trouble sleeping! I am a very light sleeper, and wake up many times during the night. It takes me forever to get back to sleep each time. I was thinking of trying melatonin. However, on the back of the bottle it says that it shouldn't be taken by people with immune disorders. Why?? I am desperate to find something to help...

From what I understand, Soy is a hard protein for a lot of people to digest. It's a bummer because SO MANY foods have soy in them. I used to love eating soy ice-cream, but it caused me to be SO BLOATED! I always thought that soy was supposed to be so good for you, but the more I read about it, I'm not so sure.

I also suffer with eating disorders. You are right - the thoughts NEVER totally go away, but you can get BETTER. I was ALWAYS so afraid to eat, but I have learned that when you don't eat, your metabolism drops to nothing. My husband is in to body building, and he is constantly ressearching information. He has taught me that I can actually eat a lot more...

Does anyone know of a good Doctor in Jacksonville who might actually know a thing or two about Celiac Disease and other Immune disorders? Is there such a thing??? I feel like every Doctor that I have ever been to is baffled when I start talking about how I am feeling. They try really hard to "ACT" knowledgeable, but it's obvious that they really have little...

ARCHIVED Feeling Like Youre In A Dream?
Lexi replied to HelpinOhio's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
My life has felt like a bad dream ever since I got my Celiac Disease Diagnosis - I wish I could wake up! -
I was in the process of treating my candida with Candex, and felt like I was having some results. I have only been on them for about 6 days now. I am also dealing with having teeth pulled, and now I have an infection. I have to take a strong antibiotic. Should I continue with the Candex, or would this be bad since antibiotics make yeast worse. Or, will...

I could definitely relate to what you were all saying. I don't know why it bothers me so much. I do know that people are curious about the foods I eat. But when I do bring a gluten free dessert to a get together, very few people eat it, and there are always jokes made about it (that's just the way my family is). They would much rather have the gluten...

Hi - I have been writing on here about my terrible tooth pulling ordeal. Today is day 11 and I am still in pain. Went to Oral Surgeon, and he told me today that I have an infection (which I have probably had for days now). He kept telling me that everything would be better soon. The problem is that I am taking Candex for Candida, and have been taking...

So, I just have to vent for a minute. I went to my in laws for Easter, and there were a lot of my husband's family members there. They all know that I have Celiac Disease (and other food allergies). I usually bring some of my own food to make it easier on everyone. I always bring my own dessert because I KNOW it is safe. Anyway, as soon as I get it...

Went to Oral Surgeon today, and he insists that I just need a few more days of healing. He keeps giving me more and more pain medicine. The first one he gave me made me CRAZY and I was having hallucinations. The pharmacist says that all my medicine is gluten free. Anyway, I also stopped at Native Sun (and broke down crying to the lady who was trying...

I'm writing this in desperation. I don't know where else to turn. I don't even know where to start at this point. I have Celiac Disease (and a ton of food allergies and problems to go with it). I also found out I have Candida, and lots of people have given great advice about treating it. However, every time I decided to start getting serious about treating...

ARCHIVED How Often Should Kids Get Tested?
Lexi posted a topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I was just wondering how often kids should get tested if they display sympotms of Celiac Disease. My son is 11 now, but he has had a touch subject since he was a baby. Has always had some degree of bloating, gas, and stomach issues. The Doctors never came up with what it was. I was diagnosed about a year ago, so I decided to have my son tested a few months... -
ARCHIVED Celiac/eating Disorder/anxiety
Lexi replied to kakattack's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Hi. I want you to know that you are not alone. I have suffered with an eating disorder for many years. Luckily, now at age 37, I have it mostly under control. But, I am still a bit obsessed with my weight, and it causes me a lot of anxiety. At this point, I just want to feel healthy more than anything else. The most important thing you can do is to... -
ARCHIVED Gluten Free Pizza At Chicago Uno
Lexi replied to buxschot's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
I also had the Gluten Free Pizza at Chicago Uno, yesterday, as a matter of fact. I went to the one in Lake Mary, Florida. I usually don't do dairy, but asked for light cheese, and just dealt with it. My husband, who does not have Celiac Disease, also liked it. The manager came out and gave me a 15 minute speech on how carefully the gluten free food was...
