  1. Hi everyone, I had the blood tests done today. It was about time because since I switched back to gluten containing food for the last weeks I was feeling bad. Especially the last two weeks were sooooooo bad. My nose is clocked and I can't breathe well. I am coughing and that even makes it worst to breathe. I didn't have a good sleep either and I am more...
  2. Yes, I have insurance. Thanks for the tip.
  3. So what's the total IgA test my doctor is sending me for the 3 above tests. What are the necessary tests to check celiac D?
  4. Thank you for the links. Yes, I will let you know what happens for sure. For now, I am just everywhere thinking it could this (fructose) and that (gluten or lactose etc). Today, I read on honey allergy and fructose intolerance and I learned that honey is high in fructose so is jam and jam has never been a friend. I would spend so much time to buy the best...
  5. My doctor wrote 3 tests and he asked me if I wanted to do all of them as they are expensive. I don't think he sees many patients asking for these tests but he was very cooperative when I described my sympoms. -IgA Antiendomysial -IgA Antigliadin and IgG antigliadin are the last two different? Also, can someone tell if I have to pay for lactose...
  6. Thank you for your reply and please tell me anything you know about fructose and other sugars allergies. I still don't know if I am a celiac disease patient but all I know is that I must be intolerant to something in cereals probably gluten and some sugars. Fructose malabsorption does it mean that you can't digest well and absorbe fruits as well? I get some...
  7. I am from Toronto If there are others from here, would like to know where are the places to shop for gluten free foods.
  8. I am sorry to hear that your wife had got sick with supplements. You know I bought the stuff I am taking last year after my mom liked the colon cleanse products I bought for her from the same company. It was before I realized I had other issues and things could be coming from the carbs I eat. Would you mind telling me more about your wife's condition and...
  9. I have mild sleep apnea at least it was mild the last time I had a sleep study and I am a potential celiac and gluten intolerant. I don't have many simptoms around the stomach. But I am have a foggy mind, I am always tired in the morning (forgot this could be from sleep apnea!) and I don't have a lot of coordination...my hands and fingers can feel very weak...
  10. Maybe it is about the amount also. Maybe the other food is balancing something for her. I am really careful with honey as I have a quick bad reaction. But I like Greek pastry and usually have honey balls that are supposed to be in honey syrup and I never had a reaction. Must be very little honey if any. It could be the same with the Honey Nut cheerios. The...
  11. I am ok now and there is no honey in my house but the last time I tried it was just honey a small spoon. The reaction was quick and I think I was still standing in the kitchen when I started sweating and having nausea. And it is not pollen, the only thing I am allergic in the environment is dust mites. Honey allergy/intolerance is rare but I must be one...
  12. Honey is a natural product, a nutritive sweetener and even a medicine for some. Yet, I get sick if I take half a spoon. I used to get a light discomfort when I used honey in yogurt or tea. Then, one day I bought a different jar and decided to check if it was really honey or something else. I used on bread many spoons and made a hot chocolate. it was really...
  13. Hi LadyC, I have been Dx with the equivalent of Panick Attack in French speaking countries "Spasmophilie". The word spasmophilie comes from spams as the person who has it gets neuromuscular spams. They also usually say that North-Americans don't recognize "spasmophilie" and don't treat it as an illness. And this is why I want to take this opportunity...
  14. True. But how do I know if I am gluten intolerant or just having a bad reaction to the sugars in wheat for example? Also, it is easy to stay gluten free in North-America (people are more aware and we can find gluten free food) but I have relatives who live in different parts of the world and when I go there it is difficult to refuse their food. I need something...
  15. Thank you her_never-ending_muse. I know what you mean by not needing a blood test but I would like to know if I am intolerant to something else and not really all gluten. Today, I was reading an article on someone who always thought she had celiac but she actually had fructose malabsorbtion. I for example don't have to rush to the washroom after eating...
  16. Thank you. I understand they are 2 different things now.
  17. That's a great news. I got checked for asthma but was told I wasn't even though had some symptoms. My doctor told me I was just so close and could use some spray. I wonder why doctor never suspect food and why they are not trained for that. I did allergy testing twice and each time was only check for environmental allergies and I am doing pretty fine there...
  18. Thanks for explaining what oil pulling is. The connection between the detox techniques with gluten is the following: would it be possible that my gluten related symptoms are strongly showing because I am detoxing my body? During a detox, bad bacteria fight your body and you have all sorts of secondary effects before being cured. Now, I always had some...
  19. Sorry for the confusion. I meant Heavy Metal and toxin removal detox. For the last years, I have been working on eating well and also detoxifying my body. I did a colon cleanse and after that learned that the next step is usually to do a Heavy Metal detox. Last year, I had a severe sinus inflammation that gave me headaches for months, the first month I was...
  20. I am a newbie and I have a question to fellow oil pullers...it is kinda urgent. I have been oil pulling for the last 5-6 weeks and I have been to the great web site you must know earthclinic.com. Also, I started doing on and off another detox for heavy metal (I need to take some pills before food and during food). I do oil pulling first thing in the morning...
  21. I only want to get tested so that I know the seriousness of the situation and see if my intestin is damaged and if I have always been like that. I suffered from stomach pain from an early age and I frequently vomited as a child. Also, I would probably keep up with the strict diet if I knew I had celiac disease. I have been free of gluten for about 3-4 days...
  22. Thank you Ange0251 I had to stop gluten containing food this past week-end because I was really not feeling well. I don't know if doing oil pulling and other cleansing could trigger this but I have like 10 symptoms many being from celiac or gluten intolerance. I will go back eating gluten once I have an appointment with the dotor. I don't know about eating...
  23. Hi everyone, I am very new to the whole celiac thing and have never heard of it. But I realized gluten was bad for me after I tried the blood type O diet after reading Adamo's book. Unfortunately, I never stay too long on that diet and start eating carbs and gluten containing food. I have stopped putting milk in my tea a few weeks ago because of nausea...
