  1. Sounds like it may be IBS....what you describe sound like classic signs of it. I don't understand why you would bloat from drinking water. Maybe because before hand you are eating salty foods? Make a journal of the things you have eaten that way you can pinpoint it.
  2. I understand where you are coming from, but it sounds like a great idea just to have dinner at your place. Since none of the restraunts you mention tend to have any food you can eat. And no, it is not wierd to make dinner even if you are the one graduating. Tell your ma about it so she can bring something that she has made, or she may even want to make dinner...
  3. I to take calcium and magnisium together. I also take b12 for blood cells, real good for celiac disease. and a multivitamin.
  4. I diagnosed my self. At 27 I was diagnosed with lactose intolerance. I was sick for 2 weeks. Till I figured I was getting sick from dairy. Then a year later I was sick again for another 2 weeks. Long story short I was getting sick every time I ate wheat. Went to the dr to only discover it was celiac disease. I am hoping that is all the sick surprises and...
  5. I am sure you are aware by now that celiac is hereditary. It can be a very hard thing to deal with not to mention a life style change. I went my whole life suffering with ibs. Till I was diagnosed with celiac of this year at 28. After being sick for 2 weeks and starting to figure it might not be the flu, but a food allergy(same kind of symptoms or similar...
  6. That is all very normal, especially with the soy. I should know, I am on soy to and have the same prob. Nothing to worry about. To help are you taking vitamins to help balance you out? I take a multivitamin, B12, calcium and magnisium. Not all in one day because that is too much for my body to digest and break down. But rotate them all one a day and it will...
  7. Even if you say you feel fine, every ones symptoms are different. Yes you are hurting your intestines even if you don't feel it. Why would you do that to your self? For what a few seconds of taste from food that you shouldn't be eating; for a lifetime of damage that will take months maybe even longer to heal because of carelessness? Not trying to be rude...
  8. Lmao that is too funny! I am glad he is alright.
  9. I am going to go out on a limb here and ask. Do you have an intolerance to orang juice? Imo it sounds like just from that little sip, you may....I have the same prob with shrimp. I could eat it before, but just a little bite will send my stomach doing cart wheels. So horrible.
  10. I know what you mean. I use to love drinking any kind of beer, not all the time, but when I did it was well worth it. It's a pitty not being able to drink beer any more. So, I just continue to drink wine. Its a good substitute imo.
  11. As their patient they have the responsibilities to follow through. Some people want to get paid to work, but not do their job all the while. You have every right to vent. I hope you keep them on their toes.
  12. Wow, I didn't know she had a problem with gluten! She never talked about it on the View. I am so going to get her book. Thanks for the link, otherwise I would have never of known.
  13. Yes, IBS can very much cause bloating and discomfort. My sister suffers from IBS as well. She complained of bloating and discomfort and how her pant were always too tight by the end of the day around her waist. When we both went to get tested she was diagnosed with IBS, mine was celiac disease.
  14. You could be suffering from I.B.S. Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
  15. Have you been tested for lactose intolerant?? That usually comes with having celiac disease. I hope you get your self tested for celiac disease. And you are describing alot of the sysmptoms I had before I realized I can't have dairy any more. Take the dairy test because of your insurance you speak of. Cut all dairy out of your diet for a week or two and see...
  16. You sound like you are in a pickle there. Have you consulted with your doctor yet? I think that would be the best advise on what they recommend. I had all those probs to, but after cutting all that gluten ingrd. out of my diet that all stopped. Just in case here are some ingrd. that are fancy saying for gluten. I am sure you are aware of, but just to be...
  17. I was the same way, 5'8" and 125lbs. Now I am tipping the scale at 140lbs. I am hoping it stops there. Its sounds like you may not gain any more, but still keep your eye on your weight.
  18. Thanks Susan, I am mighty glad I found this place.
  19. Smart thing to do is stay away from anthing wheat, barley and rye. I don't understand why your gut would be hurting other wise.

Have had a hard time dealing with it, but am coming to terms with it and have been doing alot of reading up on it and felt this would be a great place to talk to others who suffer with celiac disease and how you all deal with it.
