ARCHIVED Can Strenuous Activities Cause Celiac To Act Up Or Is It All In My Head?
Liveenjoylife replied to Liveenjoylife's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I do know my body does not handle stress very well at all after I developed celiac. And it was stress that woke up my celiac to begin with. -
ARCHIVED Can Strenuous Activities Cause Celiac To Act Up Or Is It All In My Head?
Liveenjoylife replied to Liveenjoylife's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
How can I put this with out it sounding gross. After the second week of working out, I had diarrhea for several days, my intestines seemed aggravated the pain was horrible, constant discomfort and bloating not to mention my abs hurt really bad. I finally stopped working out after that and it all went away. I am assuming no one else had this happen to them... -
ARCHIVED Can Strenuous Activities Cause Celiac To Act Up Or Is It All In My Head?
Liveenjoylife replied to Liveenjoylife's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Yes, for example I went back to working out three times out of the week for two weeks. Next thing I know I was sick just as if I was having a gluten reaction. I do know that stress can set off celiac to act up. So, I am wondering if from working out may have stressed my body and caused my celiac to act up or maybe I am just paranoid and wanted to know if... -

For example, working out, biking, jogging or even mowing the lawn cause your celiac to go hay wire? -
It sucks, I know, lol. New things will pop up, but I have found that over time it will all diminish. It took me 4 months but am better under control with reactions to foods. I am sure it will turn that way for you too. Just patience, it takes time and yes it is a hard road.

ARCHIVED Is It Celiac Disease? Please Help.
Liveenjoylife replied to Simbus23's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Everything you describe sure sound like celiac disease. You need to have your self tested for it. Since your grandmother was diagnosed with it then chances are you have it as well. The only way to get celiac disease is if it runs in the family. Best of luck. -
ARCHIVED Women, Can That Time Of The Month Set Off Your Celiac Disease?

ARCHIVED 18 Year Old With Celiac And Have Questions
Liveenjoylife replied to quilt64's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Hi Jackie, I have never heard of any one needing to go on disability because of celiac disease. The court system can be very tough and will most likely not have any one suffering from celiac disease get disability. They will find other solutions, but the chances are very, very slim. We are fighting to get my father on disability because he suffers from... -

ARCHIVED Hello And I'm Confused
Liveenjoylife replied to rubydoo's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
If I can add, chills may be knocked out if you eat some protien an hour before going to bed, depending when you go to bed. Like chicken, bannanas. I found this to be most helpful when I was getting chills, which is not uncommon with people who have c.d. I am having a hard time losing the weight I have gained since having celiac disease. Some advise I may... -

Liveenjoylife replied to msmini14's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I have been having nite-mares more often than I normaly do. And they are so vivid that when I wake up I am seriously bothered by them. I have been blaming it on some of the food I have eaten just before I go to bed. Before celiac disease I don't recall having such disturbing dreams. So, you are not alone in this. Liveenjoylife replied to Izzbell's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
You have alot going on there through genetics. I can't tell you if it is celiac disease or any thing else. Only a prof. like a doctor can tell you that. And that would have to be done through tests. Sorry I can't be of more help though. -

ARCHIVED Symptoms Of Dairy Intolerance?
Liveenjoylife replied to r0ckah0l1c's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Lactose intolerance is hereditary, I got mine from my aunt. My symptoms were vomiting, diarrhea, bloating, body chills. Basically I felt like I had the body flu for 2 weeks before I realized what it was. Some people get eczema, or rashes. I have been on soy milk for almost a year now and feel great. Soy milk has even improved my eye sight. -
