    ARCHIVED Max & Erma's

I can't find much online at all as to wheter Max & Erma's steaks and hamburgers are gluten free. Anyone know?
  2. I had IBS-D for about 20 years off and on. My gall bladder tested low funcitoning after about a year of feeling like I had a golf ball under my rib cage and pain in my upper back. I decided after a year to have it removed. BIG mistake!! I wasn't eating gluten free then (I am now on the SCD diet as gluten free didn't quite do it for me) and I often wonder...
  3. My diarrhea has increased to about 10-15 times a day, and that's after taking 4 imodium! It's scary when imodium stops working. I need to find the underlying cause, of course, but until I figure out which of the many paths to take I was hoping to count on imodium. Bummer. So, how many imodium to some people take in a day??

    ARCHIVED Bad Diarrhea

Thanks for taking the time to posts that. Interesting thoughts!! I need to do some research and process. Meantime, after my anniversary gluten free meal out on Monday I'm going casein free to see if that helps

    ARCHIVED Bad Diarrhea

But for this long - 10 days? I just can't seem to recover and I don't know what to eat while I"m trying to recover - maybe just some chicken and cooked vegies??
  6. My major symptoms before going gluten free were D and major bloating. I went gluten-free in the spring for 3 weeks and it was good. I went back on for 3 months for testing and I was so sick w/D 10-15 x a day. All tests came back negative. I went gluten-free anyway and felt pretty good for 2 1/2 months. I ate gluten-free oats 10 days ago and the diarrhea...
  7. I received an email about this today and wondered if anyone has tried it. It's called Diarrhea Stop I've been gluten-free for 3 months and over the past 1 1/2 weeks have bad water diarrhea again. I guess I need to go off dairy and see if that helps, but I don't consume much dairy at all anyway (minus 2-3 pieces of chocolate a day!) Open Original Shared...
  8. When you say eliminate dairy is that just the obvious cheese, milk, chocolate , yogurt, icecreams or is it everything w/caesin as well???
  9. I am so right there with you!! I've been gluten free for 3 months ( I went gluten-free in the spring for 3 weeks and felt great, went back on gluten for 3 months to be tested...all tests came back negative). I was so sick during those 3 months w/diarrhea 10-15 x a day. I've been doing pretty well until a week ago and I'm back to diarrhea about 4...
  10. What did you eat for breakfast for the 2 years you were eating meats and vegies?? Breakfasts stumps me!
  11. Maybe that's what I am going thru?? I've been gluten-free for 3 months and the for the past week I've had D about 4 times a day. I can't figure it out!! It is so unnverving wondering all the time about every bite of food you are putting in your mouth. It's good to hear others experiences...
  12. I've been looking online on how to TRY and keep a gluten-free kitchen when you are the only 1 of 5 not eating gluten. One question I can't find the answer to...how do you wipe your countertops off? In the past I've always used a dish rag for all counter wiping...and I have a dish towel for drying hands. I realized recently this won't work anymore. So...

    ARCHIVED Olive Garden

Fogive me for posting something else so soon, but I'm finally looking into eating out gluten-free here in Ohio and saw that Olive Garden now has a gluten-free penne Pasta available. Has this been discussed before? Is it any good...and is it safe?? I've heard scary things about eating gluten-free at Olive Garden
  14. Apparently Cap City might just be a Columbus, Ohio restaurant. But I was doing a little research for an anniversary dinner and ran across their gluten free menu - Wow! My mouth started watering!!! They even have gluten-free appetizers and desserts!! I was wondering if anyone had any experience dining there and not getting glutened! Open Original Shared...
  15. I heard one of the Meijer sample ladies today tell someone "I don't even know what gluten is...where do you look for it on the box". YIKES!!! At least they could have trained their sample ladies so they would be somewhat helpful!! BTW - once gluten how long to people normally have diarrhea??? I have a HARD time recovering from that part of being glutened...
  16. I am struggling w/the same question and just today (after 3 months of gluten-free) went out and bought by own baking sheets, wooden spoon and collander. I felt GREAT at first, now I'm back to diahrrea and I can't figure out why??? I did have gluten-free oats for the first time in about 8 weeks on Wed and, although I had was struggling w/some loose bowels...
  17. I'm working on figuring out other intolerances but to have a reaction like I did was quite surprising. The muffin tasted so good and so normal....not gluten-free at all. I really wasn't worried about CC - I was worried that either I picked up a wrong package or they put them in a wrong package. I guess I'll have to heal from this and try them again
  18. I ate a Whole Foods Gluten free (I think!!) morning glory muffin this morning. I had thrown away the packaging to wrap them individually (stupid me). This is the only thing I ate today that was possibly not gluten free (the other new thing I ate today was the new Stoneyfield greek yogurt - perhaps a reaction/intolerance to that??) I started wondering if...
  19. Just be careful if you are MSG sensitive thought because, although they say no MSG is added, they use autolyzed yeast which is MSG
  20. I'm the only gluten-free in my family so when I make a dish of cornbread, or brownies or muffins I've been freezing them. I'm wondering what is the best way to freeze? So far I've been wrapping each item individually wiht saran wrap and putting them in a reqular baggie. I'm wondering if this will do the trick? Should I buy freezer bags? They also have...
  21. I've been gluten free for about 12 weeks now. Went gluten free in the spring for a few weeks - felt great! Went back on gluten for 3 months to be tested and was horribly ill!! I have negative celiac test results s so I'm assuming I'm just gluten intolerant. I feel SO much better not eating gluten!! Many symptoms have gone away Last night I accidentally...
  22. I didn't want to add this to the 7 pages of microwave bread responses that were already posted. But I wondered if anyone has ever thought to experiment with the microwave bread recipe and make and invididual corn bread recipe?
  23. I couldn't find a quick answer online - do Tyson Frozen Chicken products have gluten in the broth? I was surprised that broth was listed as an ingredient but it doesn't say what's in the broth
  24. I can't believe I did this. I usually try and take beano before eating any beans - before and after going gluten free. Lately I've noticed that every time I eat beans (having taken beano) I've not felt well. I thought it was the beans. DUH!!! I looked last night and it says "wheat" right there on the Beano bottle!! I thought I had checked it out before...
