  2. Thanks for the reply. I have had periods of time where I can bruise easily and this is something totally different. It is a permanent "bruise" or discoloration on the bottom/thumb part of my hand. I have asked a couple doctors and they don't know anything.....wasn't too concerned until I saw it on my son and realized I am passing on all my health problems...
  3. Hey K--are you tapering down slow enough? I have the semi-same steroid problem and would get sick if I weaned too quickly. Finally one doctor told me to wean 1 mg every two weeks and it worked until I got down to 3 mg....got sick after two weeks and I too have been up and down ever since. The last time I weaned 1 mg every week and also did ok until 3 mg...
  4. Hello All! 6. I actually don't have one on hand to look at (the label) I remember trying them last year thinking they were ok, but then started having stomach issues. I have since discovered that my stomach issues were related to something else and wanted to try them again. You mentioned buying them yourself? Do you use another brand? Thanks again. ...

  9. Maybe I'm grasping for straws now, but I had positive bloodwork for Celiac as well as my endoscopy. But..........is there anything else that could cause the same positive results? Either I haven't truely been gluten free or something else is going on. I really only ask because someone mentioned CVID previously when I mentioned chronic sinus problems. ...
  10. So I have not cut out dairy since going gluten free. I don't know if I am reacting to it or not. Would there be an immediate reaction? All the time? Milk, cheese, etc. Most of the time I eat these things and really have no reaction.......but.....something is still making me sick!!! If I consume milk daily, have I built up a tolerance to it and maybe...
  11. Wow......I'm amazed at all the posts! I also have scoliosis and Celiacs. I had a spinal fusion done in 1990 after high school. (Lumbar curve of 53 degrees reduced to 8) Never experienced back problems after that. I think pregnancy set off my Celiac 6 years ago because I never ever ever ever ever ever had stomach issues before that. I really thought...

  15. I have been investigating a prescription through the pharmaceutical companies and got this reply to my inquiry. Does this mean it is safe or not?...............the price difference is quite a lot lower since I don't have insurance but I'm not sure if it is that risky....... Our Tramadol 50mg product contains starch from maize which contains a small...
  16. In my stupidity, I just bought a new bottle 6 weeks ago and didn't read the ingredients (I'm pretty sure the old version was fine?).......it clearly marked maltodextrin on the label........shouldn't we avoid?...sooooo confused...........I counted back the leftover pills and did discover that problems started around when I bought the new bottle.....
  17. Here it is 6 months after going Gluten Free. Can't say I feel any better and maybe now I know why. I met with a nutritionist two weeks after my diagnosis. The only two things I asked her to confirm for me that were gluten free were Centrum vitamins and Fiber Choice supplements. I sat in her office and watched her look up the ingredients...therefore I...
  18. Please help everyone. I have been gluten free since April, but suddenly in July became moderately bloated and then about 3 weeks ago blew up to about 7-8 months pregnant. A CT scan revealed a small (4cm) ovarian cyst and hiatal hernia....but the doctors really don't think that is what is causing the bloating. I have never been this bloated even when I...
  19. Hi I was diagnosed with Celiac about a year ago. I've had a really bad upper back for years and was just wondering if it was because I was eating gluten for so long and my disease went untreated. My doctor doesnt seem to think Celiac can cause long term back issues but I've never had any kind of injury. Has anyone else had this problem and if so will...
  20. I have been diagnosed with Celiacs with lots of questions......would love any comments.... I could eat anything I wanted until I turned 33 and had a baby... How many of us have late onset of Celiac? Don't have usual symptoms...yes constipation and bloating......but not every day and would only have about 2 "attacks" per year before official diagnosis...

  22. Thanks again everyone! I'm now trying to figure out my red flushed face. It comes and goes and now has happened after the "lasagna" incident. But here it is 5 days later and eating (not every meal ) will bring out a red flushed burning face and lips........of course like an allergic reaction? Can't link it to dairy cause I skipped that today, too.......
  23. Sounds like that is what everyone is saying!!! How do you feel about lactaid? I thought I read somewhere that it helps a lot.
