  1. I wouldn't recommend doing a colonoscopy. Take it from me, I've done it, and I remembered it put my body under even more stress than it was in the first place and usually results in nothing (especially in the younger). Plus, they're sticking a tube through your... you get the point. It's not pleasant and usually results in worser symptoms. Same thing...
  2. Like raven said, a whole food unprocessed diet is the way to go in terms of healing. It's helping me recover, I know that much, and is less stressful when you don't have to constantly look for hidden gluten (in a Paleo diet there are little amount of ingredients in what you buy) Just keep pulling through and try not to think constantly about progress ...
  3. Well, any form of carb will bring one closer to diabetes, gluten or not. But I do suppose wheat is one of the worse grains of them all.

  5. Contrary to what's being said, I've heard that after some recover they get a "heightened" sense of reaction when they've been glutened. Probably as a sort of defense against sources of hidden gluten and your body trying to take care of itself. But I agree, not suffering the pain that comes along with consuming gluten makes it considerably harder for you...
  6. *looks around* Well, I think my first post would fit snugly in this thread. I was self diagnosed (sort of, some friends really helped pull me to it) and age 16, around a month and some days ago. Still in that long, uncertain, foggy recovery phase. Doing my part in battle though, I know I'll pull through this! Other than that there's no telling...
