  1. Thanks--yes HFCS IS most definitely a problem with our daughter---it gives her immediate and severe migraines. That was why we were using the Organic---all organic ketchups don't use that. But my husband and son can eat HFCS without problems. Besides, the symptoms our daughter gets from HFCS and the distinct 'glutening' symptoms all 3 of them experienced...
  2. Lisa, Thanks for the links---those are what I saw and then questioned Heinz. They said it was a glitch and the Organic is gluten-free. Honestly, my son is SOOO much better today----I will say that it can't be gluten-free There is just NO way. I don't understand it--but perhaps a spice or something is cross contaminated and my kids and husband...
  3. I am just curious about other people's symptoms when they get gluten. My kids have the worst symptoms, most especially their spontaneous, horrific bloody noses. I was worried and concerned about this symptom especially and actually called and talked to Dr. Fasano about it. He said he had never heard of bleeding from getting gluten unless it was someone...
  4. Has anyone else had reactions to Heinz Organic Ketchup? I know it is considered gluten-free by Heinz, and in my phone call to them this morning the woman even told me they test for gluten in the ketchup and so it is gluten-free. My problem is that my husband and 2 children had undeniable gluten reactions to this ketchup---our son the worst because he is...

    Heinz Tomato Ketchup

I know this thread is old---but YES! My kids were using the Organic Ketchup every day---on multiple meals. And they had a 100% definite gluten reactions---they typical reactions that ONLY happen from gluten. This ketchup has gluten from somewhere. I did call Heinz and the lady told me they test and the vinegar is from corn. And she had never heard of...
  6. Yes! This happens really badly when I have been getting trace gluten that creeps up on me! This last summer the floaters were so bad I had trouble concentrating on what I was reading When I figured out what the mystery gluten was coming from and removed it, the floaters took months to go away still. I used to also get the 'lighted' floaters that looked...
  7. Nope---you're not the only one. One of the WORST reactions to gluten in my first 2 years being gluten-free was to an energy drink sweetened with wheat glucose syrup---wow! It was fierce and terrible. I know that Wheat Glucose Syrup apparently has no gluten, but not every Celiac can ingest it safely.
  8. McCormick does say all their single spices are gluten-free, but my family has most definitely reacted to the Cumin. Most Cumin is sourced from India or Syria, I think, and CC can happen at sourcing of raw ingredients---even though McCormick is not processing what appears to be a gluten-free product near any gluten. I even know people who have used the Elisa...
  9. I get that SAME itch! And yes---it's an itch that only occurs when I get something made from gluten ingredients---whether it is labeled gluten-free or not. I would say anything processed, whether labeled gluten-free or not, can be suspect because there is still NO standard for gluten-free in the US. So Gluten Free could mean 10ppm, 5ppm or all the way...
