    When in Germany, go to grocery stores and get Glutano (instead of Glutino, as we know it here) and Schar brand foods. They are gluten-free and there is a lot more available there than here. The breads alone are much better. Have fun.

She said they use the term "gluten safe" and "not gluten safe" instead of gluten-free and containing gluten.     Before I found out that I couldn't have gluten, I used to drink the small DanActive yogurt drinks a lot. The other day I saw them in the grocery store, checked the ingredient list & looked for any allergy warnings, and considering it safe, I purchased a batch.     Yeah, I was bitten by the ice cream too. I checked the ingredients and it looked safe. Later I realized I was glutined and that was the only food I knew was different from my routine. I checked the labeling again and in small print at the bottom was the disclaimer about cross contamination possibilities with wheat. Lesson learned on reading *everything...

    I learned about gluten intolerance a little while ago from a friend who suggested that might be my problem after hearing about some of my symptoms. The friend recommended that I try a gluten-free diet to see if it would make a difference. So far, two weeks into things, I think I can sense some differences. Or at least, I don't sense a lot of the problems...
