  8. Hi, I went to Friendly's the other day and got Ice Cream. I explained my allergy and they showed me the ingredients on a ice cream box and did not see wheat. So does anyone know if it is Gluten Free because I am breaking out with DH like crazy? Ken Ritter

  12. Thank you for the extra blessing plantime. It's comforting to know that we can have confidence in God even if we're ill. I have been gluten-free since fall of 2003. I have been reletively dh free since about two weeks ago and I started breaking out like crazy. thanks for all your input.

  14. Hi I just started taking a Calcium and Magnesium tablet, from the company Solgar, before sleeping and I think it's causing my DH to break out. Has anyone experience the same thing? If that isn't the cause I am out of ideas to keep Gluten Free. Is it possible to have DH without intake of wheat? Ken Ritter
  15. I tried taking a calcium magnesium combo and I fell asleep the next night like a lamb. I am breaking out with DH and was wondering if anyone knows how you can check if a vitamin is gluten free. Ken Ritter

  17. I just read the Gluten Free Bible. The author says that if you live in a house with those who eat wheat that you have to get different utinsels. I didn't think about this issue but have been breaking out in DH even though I'm being very careful with my diet. Does this mean that wheat can get into silverware and things like that even after it's been washed...

Thanks for the advice. 1) the recipe only calls for a pinch of sugar maybe for the breadmachine I'll need more. 2) I am using a bread machine and the water is warm 3) I used packets of yeast that had not been opened. Could the other problem be that the recipe is for oven baking and not breadmachines. If so how do you adjust the recipe for the breadmachine...

  22. I have a toastmaster breadmachine and I love it. I have been trying out a new recipe from Betty Hagmans book Comfort Foods. It is a bread recipe using teff flower. The problem is I use white vinegar instead of dough enhancer and I'm using red star yeast and the bread won't rise. any ideas why?

  24. I just got a toastmaster TBR15 for Christmas. I am in love with this thing. I had been buying bread at a gluten-free bakery and was paying like $9.00 a loaf.
