I found some Gluten Free Matzo Meal and Matzo. The Matzo is just ok we made some matzo brie and it wasn't really that good, but tasted it with some cream cheese/margerine on it and both were pretty good. I made some matzo balls with the matzo meal and they were definately good. I will make them again during the year. I made the matzo meal rolls and they...

ARCHIVED Teriyaki SauceRoo replied to mrsfish-94's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications I was also looking for a good Teriyaki Sauce. I found EZ Marinade Teriyaki. It is made my Heinz. They sell it in the supermarket in the same place as the other marinades but it is in a pouch. It was very good and I will use it again. The only bad thing is it only comes gluten-free in a pouch and since you marinade your beef/chicken in the pouch you have...

ARCHIVED Has Anyone Heard Of PlantizymeRoo posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications I know some people here have mentioned that they take pills to help break foods down and aid in absorption. This pill was recommended to me by my pharmisist. Has anyone heard of it? It is called Plantizyme dietary supplement. It is made by Thorne Research. He told me to take one before meals. Thanks, Roo

We have been going through some tough times since my son has gone gluten-free. Has anyone else had any similiar experiences? My son was diagnosed with ADHD about 2 years ago when he was 11. He has since been on Concerta 27mg and everything has been great. He is a very good student all A's and B's. He is completely asymptomatic so we found his Celiac...

Something like this would have never occured to me. I think you can only know by calling the company. I am going to check and see what the names of the chemicals that we use are too. Keep me posted (no pun intended) Roo

My son loves the Amy's frozen pizza, it is a ncie size and can be used as a whole meal. The Foods by George frozen pizza is even better. Much smaller so is more of a snack for an adult but for a child I guess it could be a meal. But what was really good is the Chebe bread mix! This one you make from a mix it was easy all you add is 2 eggs, oil and water...

When you say corn dogs do you just mean dough wrapped around a hotdog? Pigs in a blanket? Because if you do, why don't you try the chebe bread mix and wrap it around a hotdog. I'm having guests over next week and am going to make it as an appetizer. I made their bread balls with cheddar cheese the other day and also tried the bread mix as a pizza crust...

ARCHIVED Quaker Instant GritsRoo replied to Roo's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications Thanks Paula, I will check and see if I can find Albers but I don't think I have seen it before. I did a search on Grits here and it seems so many people suggest eating them but I don't know what brand, or is everyone eating Albers I'm bummed because this is something my son liked, it was a great substitute for Cream of Wheat. Oh well, I'll keep...

ARCHIVED Quaker Instant GritsRoo posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications I bought my son a box of the Quaker Instant Grits. I had read on here or somewhere else that they were tasty. He liked them. At some other point I had to call Quaker about another question and they said that even though that product was made without Gluten they could not guarantee that the product was gluten-free due to Cross Contamination in shipping...

I remember reading on here at some point that someone had figured out a mix of flours that was very simialar to bisquick. My son used to love the make the biscuits from the mix and misses them. Anyone remember it or know how to find it. I am not that adept at the searches. Thanks, Roo

Sillyak, I just came across this ad on another website and thought it might help you with your trip if you decide to go. I don't even have a trip planned and I might order one. For $5.95 it seems worth it, just to hold onto for another time. I'm sure when I need it I wouldn't be able to find it. Multilingual gluten-free Dining Cards in Six Languages...

celiac3270, In an earlier post you had mentioned that you often stock up on Kosher for Passover foods at the supermarket during Passover because they are gluten-free, but what is it that you buy, everything that I see seems to have Matzoh Meal or Matzoh in it. Roo

A new Target store just opened in my town. I've heard lot's of good things about this store but have never been in one yet. I think I've read in the past that some people have bought some gluten-free food there and I am going to check out the store this week but want to know what to look for. I tried to find the thread but couldn't. Any suggestions...

I just found something new for my son for lunch. Not that it is so healthy but it's something that he used to have sometimes before he was diagnosed and it's just one more thing for variety. Lunchable Nacho with cheese/salsa dip. They actually taste good and how bad can chips and cheese be? Roo

I don't know the answer to your question, but what I've done in the past is just call your pharmisist and they can call the company and find out. Roo
