    ARCHIVED Bone Pain

I do not want to be overdramatic or make worry where it is unnecessary - but after finally being diagnosed with Celiac Disease, I was was also diagnosed with Fibromialgia. I am a patient @ the Beth Isreal hospital in Boston and saw numerous specialists to address my pain after the Celiac diagnosis - but nothing concrete came up. I was finally referred to...
  2. I have been gluten free for 4 months now but still deal with many of the same issues you mentioned - the "Bubble Gut" bloating and other GI issues (
  3. Wow - JustChris, again I am feeling the same way as you described - I am a summer girl, always spending every possible moment outside, soaking up the heat and the sun and I LOVE summer nights - the crickets, the stars, the warm breeze - it is heaven! Two weeks ago, my dog had to go
  4. I am very new to the world of Celiac Disease and I am positive many others here can shed more light on this topic than I can. But I will say, in a short period of time, I have found that this disease will do unbelieveable things to your body, especially if you have had it for years (as many of us did without even knowing it!)the damage done is amazing. ...
  5. Your experience sounds so similar to mine! I have been gluten free since my diagnosis in March 2010 - like you, I found that my PCP and the GI that diagnosed me were very nice, but not helpful after the diagnosis. They are baffled that I wanted tests ran, to determine where my health is at now, after what I believe to be 10 years undiagnosed. Like you...
  6. I was diagnosed @ Mass General in Danvers in March - the GI was nice, but certainly no expert in Celiac - I have been begging for tests that are supposed to be routine after this diagnosis, but not having any luck getting the answers I need. He said "yup, you have Celiac" and that was the last I heard! In the last 4 months, no one has bothered to check where...
  7. Thank you all for your responses - and for confirming my feelings about starting to eat gluten now after so long without it. I just dont even think I could do it if I had to! Ugh! As much as I loved pizza before my diagnosis, if I was told I had to eat a slice right now, I would probably cry (or gag!) the whole way through it! I am having a full physical...
  8. Hi all, I am new to this site (and to Celiac in general) and first have to thank you all for the wonderful information and support I have found here. It really helps me feel not "so alone" during this difficult time. On to my question: My blood work tested positive for Celiac in March - My GI wanted to do a biopsy to confirm, but my insurance company...
  9. Thank you bobbijo! I agree that couple of attacks I have had seem to be worse the longer I am gluten free (going on 4 months) Our bodies do not react kindly to contamination! My Mom and sister both have celiac, and they have told me the same thing. Now it is 5 days after I was glutened and thankfully, the fog is starting to lift! I am feeling human again...
  10. This is my first time posting on any site, but after reading this, I had to! I am having similar issues! I was diagnosed 3 months ago (though, like everyone else, I had symptoms for years!) After about a month I started to have great results and felt so much better every day that passed - the constant nausea went away, headaches and foggy feeling subsided...
