  1. What is NYstatin?
  2. Thanks so much to all of you! I WAS actually diagnosed with celiac disease at my GI doc appt this morning. I knew that I had it, but it still came as a blow to me for some reason. I guess that I held out hope that I wouldn't have to deal with this for the rest of my life. My doc is very concerned that I've lost so much weight. I still needed to lose...
  3. Okay, one of you mentioned fructose intolerance. I thought i'd look that up on the net at some point, but I had watermelon yesterday and started feeling sick and bloated. I immediately went to my computer (my best friend these days), and looked up fructose intolerance. Well, I can't believe it...and a little depressed. All of the fruits that I thought...
  4. I have gluten and dairy intolerance...and recently figured out soy. I am still working through issues. I was drinking lactose free milk until a few days ago. I was able to find lactose free cheese and ready made dishes. However, upon reading this site trying to figure out my own issues...I realized that I may have an issue with casein too. I have cut...

    ARCHIVED Corn :(

Wow, I'm going to have to try cutting out corn now...one of my few remaining foods. I have been seeing a nuerologist for a year with no answers. I did react to tomato the other day...i think it was tomato. Anyway, my mood just went into the toilet right after lunch. I was a crank, and had noooo patience left in me. It was less the next day, but I was...
  6. Hi. Mushroom...what do you eat? I noticed you on one of my posts. You have cut out everything. I am asking, because I posted "intolerant of everything"...and I'm out of ideas. How do I know if I have nightshade intolerance? I do have muscle and joint pain, but would I become bloated too? The same for corn? I do think that I react to tomatoes, but...
  7. Hi. Okay, there lies the problem for me. I have eliminated nearly everything. No, I quit juice. I do mix Miralax with some OJ, as it does not appear to bother me. I was drinking apple and white grape juice, not anymore. I did think that I might react to apples and grapes themselves, so I quit grapes...vegan wine...and balsamic vinegar. I went to organic...
  8. Wow, you have quite a history! Did you end up doing the spinal tap? The lesions were gone on your films? No, I didn't see my films. He said that there were some minor disc changes, but all normal with age. Should I question that? I chose my nuerologist because he has a fantastic reputation. My internal medicine doc has MS, so that is also the doctor that...
  9. Hi. Thank you all. I have seen that other people are effected adversely by McCormick's single spices. I've seen that it's "hit or miss" with those. Some people on that post had figured out which ones bothered them, but then it could change too. Someone else on this site spoke with the manufacturing, and "yes" they cannot conclude that their spices are free...
  10. Hi. I'm trying to find gluten-free and soy free spices. I called the manufacturer of the 2 brands that whole foods carries, and they couldn't tell me that they are gluten free. Either some of them contain anti-clumping agents, or could be contaminated from running on the same lines as those that do. I am specifically looking for salt, pepper, garlic powder...
  11. Hi. I"m new to this site. I've not officially been diagnosed, but tested very high for genetic risk...and have all of the symptoms. my body took a turn for the worse after my last child 15 months ago. I've suffered from fatigue for a long time, but thought that was due to thyroid, and finally got diagnosed after my first child. After this last c-section...
  12. Very interesting. I'm O- type. I have not been diagnosed with celiac, but suspect that I have it. I tested "VERY HIGH" with genetic testing. My heritage is Irish, German and Swedish. My whole mother's side is food intolerant to some degree, but not bad enough to want to see doctors. I don't know my parents blood type. I have autoimmune thyroid disorder...
  13. That does possibly shed some light on things. It's funny you should mention your thyroid problems, as I also have Hashimoto's autoimmune thyroid disease! What is the connection? Both my GI doc and my endocrinologist have very good reputations, but never mentioned anything! I also had to ask for the intolerance testing myself out of shear frustration. ...
  14. Hi. I am new to this site and all of these issues. I am soooo in need of help! The story...I've always had chronic, severe constipation. I went through all of the GI docs normal talks...fiber...fiber...yaya. I was eventually prescribed miralax and amitiza that I've been on for years that hardly help. After I had my first child about 5 years ago, the...
