ARCHIVED Anyone In Florida?
scuzy replied to simplyconfused's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
I can vouch for the kissing thing, IT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!, I guess everyone is different though, but one night I kissed a guy after he had eaten pizza a few hours earlier and I still got glutened... I read in a book somewhere that if you are dating a not gluten free person make sure they brush there teeth before you ever kiss them to avoid the horrible consequences... -
ARCHIVED Low Immune System?
scuzy replied to fozbery's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Yes, before I went gluten free and even when I get glutened now, I do feel that I get sick a lot more than normal people. lol, just another symptom we all have to deal with I guess... -
ARCHIVED What Are Your "glutened" Symptoms?
scuzy replied to LauraZ's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
- Lots of D, maybe upwards to 5 to 6 times a day - I break out on my scalp (and it's itchy) for a week or two - A sharp side pain, possibly my kidneys, within one week of being glutened - Hungry almost all the time, it's like I can't get enough food, yet I don't gain any weight (which is a good thing) - Tired all the time - Brain fog - Clumsiness,... -
I told a waitress one time that I had a gluten allergy, and she replied with "So you are allergic to dairy?"...

I get that too, well most of the time. I am finally getting way with my family that I live with. We even made an entire gluten free dinner (with an awesome chocolate cake) for some guests one night. Everyone loved it... if only people gave it a chance they would see it's not bad.

ARCHIVED Kidney Problems?
scuzy replied to scuzy's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
True. But is it possible that the gluten has damaged them somehow? And that it could have caused some other medical condition that we should know about? I mean kidneys are very important. -

Hello, ( I posted this on the pre-diagnoses part as well, not sure how many people read both) I have self diagnosed myself with Celiac Disease back in August. I have been feeling sooooo much better since I have been gluten free. It took me about two years to figure out that I had Celiac Disease and am wondering what kind of damage could I have done to... -
Hello, I have self diagnosed myself with Celiac Disease back in August. I have been feeling sooooo much better since I have been gluten free. It took me about two years to figure out that I had Celiac Disease and am wondering what kind of damage could I have done to my body within those two years of horrible symptoms. ARCHIVED "little Symptoms"
scuzy replied to cO-ol's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I want to comment on the scalp itching symptom that went away. I have been gluten free since August or last year and my scalp had always itched like crazy and I would get pimples and stuff on it. I finally found a shampoo that I could use along with vinegar that would get rid of the symptoms. The other day I was given baby shampoo to try, to see if it had... -

ARCHIVED Does Smoking Herbal Incense Relieve Symptoms?
scuzy posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I know weed will suppress the symptoms from eating gluten (and yes I know or am sure your body would still attack itself), but one time every year or so won't kill me. And will the herbal incense do the same? I am only asking because I really WANT some pizza, real pizza and I don't want to do anything illegal to have some. Has anyone tried any of the herbal... -
ARCHIVED Medical Marijuana For Symptom Control
scuzy replied to raisin's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I have been against smoking my whole life, but finally I had decided to try it so that people could stop calling me sheltered and stuff. But anyway, I tried it once (before I was gluten free, still having all my symptoms and stuff) and I had no D for like 2 days!!!!! It was amazing, I thought it was a weird reaction at the time and I normally would pee like... -
ARCHIVED Do You Pee A Lot?
scuzy posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I posted this on the pre-diagnoses but I might get more responses from the post-diagnoses section. So as the description said I used to pee about every hour. I didn't drink a lot, but after measuring my input and output one day I found that I am normal, but I would always pee 3 oz, aside from when I woke up in the morning and it would be about 8 to... -
ARCHIVED Do You Pee A Lot?
scuzy replied to scuzy's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Hmm, it's interesting to read that you now can go up to 6 hours, maybe after a few more months I can go that long. I did look into the Interstitial Cystitis that cassP mentioned, and it said that people who have it commonly have IBS ( the most common miss diagnoses for celiac). But who knows, I'm just glad that I might have something to look forward to in... -
ARCHIVED Gluten Free For 2 Years...gained So Much Weight
scuzy replied to TiffanyB's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I have had the same issue of eating when I'm not really hungry. I was so used to eating all the time because my body felt starved of nutrients. I think it just takes some practice, it's kind of like if we had to learn how to walk again, but with food. -

I didn't drink a lot, but after measuring my input and output one day I found that I am normal, but I would always pee 3 oz, aside from when I woke up in the morning and it would be about 8 to 10 oz. The doctor told me that because my output was less then my input that there was nothing he could do...

ARCHIVED Brain Fog
scuzy replied to sherrylynn's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
My Celiac test came back negative, but if you read my post: , it explains my situation (to much typing) . Not sure what other neurological symptoms you might be referring too. I personally always chocked up my horrible memory to having such a traumatic child hood. But then again a friend sleeping over is not traumatic, so in theory my mind should remember... -

ARCHIVED My Test Was Negative, But The Diet Works Wonders?
scuzy replied to scuzy's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Thank you guys for sharing your stories and your advice. According to the doctor my Iron is fine??? So I'm not quite sure what could cause the dimples. Someone said it could just be a side effect of Celiac. Maybe that means it will go away after 6 months on the diet. Hopefully . -
ARCHIVED Brain Fog
scuzy replied to sherrylynn's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Wow, so is it a proven symptom to have a horrible memory? I never even thought of that as a symptom. My memory used to be good, but the past few years, when all my other symptoms started it has gotten bad. I can't even remember when my friend visited me, or when a friend slept over 6 months ago, what I just heard in class.. ect... And I'm only 21... -
ARCHIVED Blood Tests "inconclusive." Help Please..
scuzy replied to Atrapos's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I'm kind of in the same situation as you are. My tests came back negative but the symptoms all point to celiac. I finally decided to start the gluten-free diet and have stayed on for that fact that I no longer have a lot of my symptoms. I would recommend that you do the diet for as long as you can, and if it works then I would assume celiac. From what I... -
ARCHIVED My Test Was Negative, But The Diet Works Wonders?
scuzy replied to scuzy's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Well I do (did) love ramen noodles... I guess since I'm still new at gluten free, I am still craving some of the things I used to eat (or can't have). I am getting better though. Thanks for the advice about everything. -
ARCHIVED My Test Was Negative, But The Diet Works Wonders?
scuzy replied to scuzy's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Thank you guys so much. I am so glad I found this site, and did the research to find out I am gluten sensitive. I had been pondering the idea for about a year before I went on the diet. I thought the only thing that could keep me on the diet would be a positive test, but it turns out that not having all the symptoms is worth the diet. I still want to know... -
ARCHIVED My Test Was Negative, But The Diet Works Wonders?
scuzy posted a topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I have been reading a lot of posts on how inaccurate the antibody tests are. I am 21 and for the past few years I had been dealing with worsening diarrhea, so I finally decided to do something about it. The more research I did, the more Celiac looked like the culprit. I have read that the most common misdiagnoses is Irritable Bowel Syndrome, which I was just...
