  1. I just made Rice Krispie treats with the Barbara's Brown Rice Krispies, and they taste great, but the rice Krispies are much darker then the regular rice krispies are. So the appearance is different, but not the taste.
  2. I second that Vince !!! My son can't stand the new "Dora The Explorer Cinnamon stars" I thought I could distract him away from the Cocoa Puffs with those.....no luck.
  3. Thank You much ! My son is 3, so I think I will hold off a little longer on them. But thank you for the input I was kinda curious.
  4. YES ! I saw it at Target and it was in a box that said "Top Secret" on it !!!! You couldn't even see it !
  5. Has anyone tried these oats? And has anyone reacted to them? I would love to make monster cookies for my son, but am afraid of getting him sick. I would love some feedback ! Thanks ! Sarah
  6. I don't know how to answer your question about the blood test, my doctor told me that my son's tests were positive for celiac disease. We actually had the biopsy done first, which showed that his small intestines where full of ulcers. If I could do it again, I would have had the blood test done first and put him on the diet second, if the diet showed good...
  7. Cool ! I'm gonna check it out right now !!!!
  8. I did check the last time I was at Walmart. The Great Value Brand "Cocoa Cools" do not list any gluten in the ingredients, but warned that it is processed in a facility with wheat (which obviously... Cocoa Puffs are processed in a facility with wheat, but General Mills is not nice enough to tell us that)
  9. If they contain any kind of a malt ingredient, they are NOT gluten free.
  10. Vince - Please let me know if you find anything !!! I hate breaking my son's heart ! He knows he can't have things with "Gluten" in them. But if I tell him that Cocoa Puffs now have "gluten" he's gonna be devastated. And Cocoa Puffs are a good "in the car" snack item, it's gonna be a great loss. I'm bummed.
  11. You can see the list of it's ingrediants on the General Mills website. Looking at that, it appears to be gluten free, but I am sure they will not say it's gluten free due to cross contamination, so they are not held liable if someone gets sick from it.
  12. Hey Vince - I have a 3 year old son as well, and he is addicted to Cocoa Puffs. He is not that fond of Cocoa Pebbles. So I am in the same boat as you. It is SO difficult to tell them that they can no longer have their favorite cereals. I had to break it to my son that he can no longer have the Malt-o-meal corn pops when they changed their recipe. It sucks...
  13. Yes, the Bob's Red Mill Brownies are really good. I also like the Pamela's chocolate cake mix. I totally fooled my niece's and nephews with cupcakes. They had NO clue.
  14. I have an interesting story. My parents have a cabin "Upnorth", and had gone to a bakery that had gluten free breads and things. At that bakery, there is a specific woman that bakes "gluten free" items for the local school because they have a celiac child there. She makes breads, buns, cakes, etc. for this child at this school. She gets paid by the district...
  15. Congratulations to you and your family!!! I am sure you are relieved that all is going well now !!!!
