  1. I'm going to reply properly tomorrow, it's 2am here in the UK. But I do want to say, you're all freaking awesome, I feel a billion times better after reading all of your posts. And I'm so grateful that you've all taken such time and thought to reply. <3
  2. This elimination diet is too hard. It's so limited I just don't want to eat. Today I've eaten a Banana, slice of ham and a gluten free chocolate bar (bad I know). Watching the family tuck in to Pepperoni pizza was fun. Luckily my family and friends are great, they weren't going to eat pizza as I couldn't, but I don't want everybody to do without nice food...
  3. Thanks so much I've actually been feeling a little better today. Still tired but my mind has felt less foggy. I've found it easier to think and work, which is something. I've been eliminating dairy and nightshades primarily. Though my main diet has consisted of meat, fruit and veg. Other than that, I have eaten cashew nuts and some fruit gums...
  4. Reading stuff like that makes me feel sick to the pit of my stomach. If it took me 3 years to feel well, I'd most likely lose my company and thus everything I've worked so hard for. I need to wake up soon
  5. This evening, I figured I'd have some fries as I was about to vomit at the idea of more veg. Not long after I eat, pork and fries, I felt extra tired. I still feel extra tired now. I freaking hope to god I am not intolerant to potatoes. I couldn't care less about the other nightshades, but potatoes would make my diet a whole lot harder. I guess I...
  6. Honestly, our enjoyment from life is largely governed by our perspective. It helps shapes who we are, how we feel and how we view the world. I think it's very easy for us to get caught up in our own little world, our problems and let them take over our lives. Sometimes something dramatic happens, and suddenly our day to day problems are put to one side...
  7. Thanks for the masses of awesome advice. I really appreciate it. It's great to know I'm not alone or mad. I don't know whether this is psychological or what. But it's only been a couple of days since I decided to start cutting out everything but meat, fruit and veg but I feel sick at the idea of eating. It's not that I'm not hungry and I could quite easily...
  8. Thanks for the encouragement everybody. I don't know anybody with celiacs or issues similar to my own. It's difficult when everybody else just appears to be able to eat whatever they want and still feel fine. Jenn, was dairy your secondary intolerance? I remember as a teen, everytime I eat cheese, my face would itch and breakout. Though that seemed to...
  9. I had my Iron levels tested. They were right at the bottom end of low but my Dr felt they were still within the accepted range and my blood count was normal, so there was no need to concern myself. Would it still be worth taking an iron supp? I'm taking a B complex which includes B12 at 10,000% RDA. Alive? Wow, I'd love to feel that, I...
  10. Could it be possible that you've not been glutened and you've picked up a virus or have food poisoning? The symptoms you have are not exclusive to being glutened. I do worry a little, that celiac sufferers tend to put every bout of "D" or stomach issues down to being glutened.
  11. I'm six weeks in to a gluten free diet. I'm not really feeling any less exhausted and it's REALLY demotivating. Last night I had about 10 hours sleep. I woke up feeling my usual tired self, but it was normal. I had some gluten free cornflakes for breakfast with semi skimmed milk and then had a shower. After the shower I started to feel really tired, I...

    ARCHIVED Block

Yup, it's just an option to block them as Psawyer said. It doesn't mean the user has blocked you or anything.
  14. Loey, by the looks of it, you're clicking the link button and inserting it as a link. Ensure you're using rather than and it should work. When viewing the code, before posting it should look like this: [img=http://www.test.com/test.gif]
  15. Can you describe the process you're using? Are you talking about native emoticons on the forum? Or ones you're trying to use from elsewhere?
  16. Hey I did try that. Thats my usual method too. Or usually Product name gluten free. In this case I couldn't find a definitive answer. Thanks for the reply. I've got a German friend, he might be able to help!
  17. These ingredients are from Kinder Schoko-bons. I can't see anything obvious in the ingredients. But I'm not yet an expert and don't know all the names to look out for. Ingredients: whole milk chocolate 50% (sugar, whole milk powder, cocoa butter, cocoa mass, emulsifier soy lecithin, vanilla), sugar, skimmed milk powder, vegetable fat, hazelnuts (5.8%...
  18. It's been 4 weeks and I've gained some weight. Not sure how much, because I'm too scared to step on the scales. However I'm quite sure it's due to the fact I've been stupid and eat way more junk than I should have. I've been eating a lot of processed gluten free baked goods and gluten free chocolate. I now need to cut out all the rubbish and focus...

  20. 1. Sex: Male 2. Age: 30 3. How long ago were you diagnosed with celiac disease? 4 weeks 4. Does anyone in your family have celiac disease? Not that I'm aware of, suspect it in my mother 5. How severe is your celiac disease? I really don't know how to gauge it. But it causes server fatigue. 6. Is it difficult to eat out at restaurants or anywhere outside...
  21. I did wonder about hives. But it's literally like 2-3 at a time. Sometimes only 1. It can happen during the day, even when I'm out. But lately it's been in the evenings. Pre-bedtime. It's literally like a bite on my chest or face but I itch all over. It's not happened since I made this post. haha
  22. Loey, reputation is earned or lost, when members click the + or - under your posts. You basically earn reputation by being helpful. So for example, you could click the green + on my post, for my invaluable advice haha!
  23. Ah I have a feeling that perhaps your browser had cached the old avatar. So it worked instantly but your browser was showing the other version that it help in memory. Glad it worked anyway
  24. enjoying the forum

  25. Megan, Photos are allowed to be bigger in both dimension and file size, than Avatars. It maybe the file size is too big. If you don't know how to make it smaller, post it here and I'll make it smaller and post it back for you Ditto for anybody else who needs help with it.
