  3. You're so lucky that she listens and is wiling to learn. The jury is still out on my GI. Wishing you a happy and healthy gluten-free Thanksgiving. Just put my Ducks in so we'll be eating late. Loey
  4. Thanks Jess! Our son will probably devour most of it because he hasn't eaten yet today and is being lazy about having a snack. That's why I always make two. Wish me luck. It's the first time I'm using the convection setting on my oven. Loey
  5. Thought I'd pass on this psillie clip. Happy Gobble Gobble (and in my case quack, quack) Loey Open Original Shared Link
  6. Never heard that song but I enjoyed the clip and I'm sure you enjoyed your son singing it in the shower (cracking voice or not).. Happy Thanksgiving! Loey
  7. Oh Jess, I told you it was "L"!!! Couldn't be happier for you that both men see what a catch you are. You so deserve it! Just put my duck in the oven and haven't even showered yet. Quite the lazy day in our household. Of course m son decided to take a ride around RI and somehow hit the side of our garage and knocked a light off of Klark's car when pulling...
  8. Mine wants to try out for Accapello (sp?) in his sophomore year of college. That means they'll be a LOT more singing in the shower before then! Happy Gobble Gobble day (or in my case quack quack)! Loey
  9. Maybe he thinks you're cute! Loey
  10. Now that's a Thanksgiving gift!!!! Loey
  11. Hope it's fixed soon so you can get toasty. What is he vacuuming? Loey
  12. Thanks Shroomie. It's my first gluten-free Thanksgiving. I'll be gving to having this forum as my extended family. Loey
  13. Jess, How could they not adore you???? Happy gluten-free Gobble day to everyone Loey P.S. As I type this my son is belting out Bruce Springstein while he showers. I forgot how much I missed it (and him)
  14. I know. I'm a total enabler and if I had it all over to do again things would have been different. I had him when I was 40 and was so thrilled to even have a child that he was a "wee" bit pampered by Klark and I. Other than the laundry he's turned out to be a pretty fine young adult with a nice set of values. We were discussing sex on the ride home (we...
  15. Amen to that!!! I think that anything that we re missing in our diet can be replaced with vitamins. Eating gluten certainly does us extreme harm!!! Happy gluten-free Thanksgiving to all, Loey
  16. I love a semi sweet white wine. Like a Liebfralmilch (spelling totally wrong) or an Asti. Although any time there's an open bottle of wine I am game - be it white or red. Wishing you a healthy and happy gluten-free Thanksgiving! Loey
  17. Continuing to pray for the poor families. Loey
  18. Thank you Dixiebell, Patti, and Cypressmyst, Jerseyangel and everyone else who replied. I don't want to poison my family on the holidays (or any time). I actually gave my hubby food poisoning on our anniversary one year. I might have room for the potato casserole in the fridge once I take the ducks out to cook and I could just make the squash in the microwave...
  19. I'm making a potato casserole and a squash casserole Thanksgiving morning. I need to make them in advance because I won't have room in the oven to heat them (making 2 ducks) so I want them cooked in advance so I can microwave them. They have eggs in them but again they will be fully cooked. Can I keep them outside if it's supposed to be 46 degrees. I won...
  20. They (mom and dad) can get their own blankets to get under!!! Loey P.S. question for my brilliant psillies: I'm making a potato casserole and a squash casserole Thanksgiving morning. I need to make them in advance because I won't have room in the oven to heat them (making 2 ducks) so I want them cooked in advance so I can microwave them....
  21. I agree that not enough doctors have proper training or experience with Celiac Disease. I was just diagnosed in June after an illness kept me bedridden for 6 weeks (turned out to be the illness that led me to a diagnosis of celiac). I was not gluten-free at the time so all of my tests were glaringly positive. I was moving to a new state and loved my old GP...
  22. Here's a link to a doctor discussing celiac that I found very interesting. Loey
  23. Continuing to keep them in my prayers. Loey
  24. Do you mean finding out what your assignment is or handing your homework in? Can you email the homework? Sounds like you have a legitimate excuse to hand it in late. Glad you're at BE's. Guess this means you decided to spend Thanksgiving with him (or is fate forcing your hand?). Just picked up our son at school. He's out eating a gluten packed dinner...
