    Just bought gluten-free sausages for when my son comes home. Now I don't think I'll chance them. I'm so sensitive to everything. Any of you ever get depressed when glutened? I've been feeling depressed lately and I hate it! I'm a pretty upbeat person but have been waking up depressed almost daily. Loey

    Added lots of turnips and parsnips to my stew (it's rabbit stew which is a favorite of my husband's as he grew up in Spain for a good portion of his life). I initially felt guilty about cooking rabbit but got over it. Loey (wabbit killer)

    Thanks for the great tips. I'm making two ducks and will defrost them in the refrigerator as much as possible (picking them up on Monday). I don't know what my problem is today.     So that's what everyone meant by HP. I forgot it opened tonight. Our son is rejecting us and going with his friends. Maybe that's what Klark and I will see this weekend. Tony (our son) thought it would be cool if Emma Watson was at the movie theater he goes to (he's at Brown) but she'll probably be at a fancy opening. Loey

    I have to agree with (and applaud) Shauna for pointing out the problem with products that say they are gluten free. Part of my problem is that I am so sensitive right now that I can't eat most of the foods that are labeled gluten-free. We do need the FDA to finally back us and make sure the labels are accurate. But we will spend the rest of our lives reading...

    I think it is common to feel a combination of anger at the doctors and family members that didn't believe us and relief at the diagnosis. I was diagnosed in June and the GI I saw was shocked that i had gone decades without it being diagnosed.     Yes you can scream!!!! SO sorry to hear that!!! I actually brought a urine sample into my GI when I first had my flare (almost 2 months ago) because I don't have a GP in my new town yet. He told me to throw it out. The symptoms of Celiac (lower abdominal and back pain) are SO similar to UTI's. We're damned of we do and damned if we don't. Hang in there!...

    I've used cauliflower as a replacement for potatoes when my son isn't home (he's deathly allergic to them).
