    So sorry to hear that. Will keep you in my prayers and send healing positive energy (I strongly believe in it)!!!! I had a herniated disc when i was younger. Didn't have surgery. Used a TENS (transcutaneous electrode nerve stimulator) machine (it was experimental then and I wish I still had it). It really helped with the pain. Loey

    It's our first snowfall IN RI since we officially live here!!!! There was snow when we were house hunting (especially in Connecticut) but it's beautiful today. Unfortunately Klark didn't know to put cars in garage. He did a really good job painting it and hanging a lot of things but still left enough space for both cars.     ARRRRGGGH! Thanks for the phunny. I really needed it but couldn't open it! Woke up with a sore throat, Ice cube hands, dizziness and Klark thinks I have a a fever. I AM NOT CALLING GI ABOUT IT!     Thanks, I didn't taper off the Donnatal (my bad). Just staying bed and checking the computer today. Cancelled the one appointment I had. I'm tutoring a girt with dyslexia for free and her mother was supposed to come over. WIll reschedule it. Thanks for always being so helpful! I +'d you! Loey

    Should I let my GI know I have a scratchy throat if I'm FINALLY having ulcer biopsy this Friday I've been waiting for over 4 weeks.!!!! I woke up at 4AM FREEZING.     Thanks for the good advice. I was only eating apples. I do love mangos. I have an ulcer and will be having a biopsy this Friday. I'm avoiding anything acidic right now Not to sound stupid, but are pears or mangos acidic? I'll get either the psyllium or L-Glutamine. Just don't want to return to the big D . Loey

    Thanks so much for al of the info. I do eat a lot of rice- jasmine or basmati or rice noodles. I also eat brown rice. I tend to stay away from white rice. I drink Almond Breeze because I'm avoiding dairy right now. I was eating chicken but it got to the point where I couldn't stand the smell or taste of it. I think I'm turning into a vegetarian.     I'm currently on the elimination diet - mainly eating rice, veggies, and eggs. I take fiber con (as per GI doctor) but am extremely constipated. Any suggestions from you wonderful experts? I prefer it to D but hey, I much rather be regular!!!! Loey

    That was what I was taking and I stopped yesterday. haven't had the grogginess or dizziness since. Initially it was making me sleepy during the day and I took a lot of naps.     He gave me that first and it didn't make me dopey but gave me the big D so I stopped taking it. The he gave me Donnatal and i think that was the culprit (It's a mix of belladonna and phenobarbital) because I stopped taking it yesterday and walked around all day yesterday and today with my girlfriends and didn't get dizzy or fall.
