  1. The bruise on the lower part of my face has changed (witch hazel???) and now looks like a zombie stick figure. AAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! Loey
  2. Who's volunteering to be our third stooge? We'll see how I do at the Haunted Motel. Hopefully I won't fall in the dark and then I can come home and attack Clark. He deserves Superwoman after all the support he's given. I think I mentioned (brain fog) that last year we went to the Haunted Penitentiary in Philly. It was really awesome and extra creepy...
  3. Not jealous -just old. I do plan on being a copy cat after the Haunted Motel (I hope). It's sad when you can remember the last time and it was months ago. Loey

    ARCHIVED Bruising

I finally started feeling better. I told him if I still had headaches then we would go to the ER. Swelling has finally gone down. Thank you for your helpful advice. I don't know what i'd do without this forum (nor do I plan on finding out)! Loey

    ARCHIVED Bruising

Thanks Christi!!! The witch hazel seems to be working a little bit already. I don't plan on leaving the house again until Saturday night when we're going to a Haunted Motel. I hate using up my expensive gluten-free make-up to cover it. Loey

    ARCHIVED Bruising

Thanks for all of your advice and wise words. The headache is much better today and I have been avoiding Advil or any form of NSAID. The witch Hazel seems to be helping already. I agree with you about how Dr. House treats his patients (and staff). My doctor was compared to him because he was usually gruff (not with me) but was a brilliant diagnostician...

    ARCHIVED Emoticons

why do emoticons that I copy and paste some times show up as an http// address?
  8. I'm following Jess's lead and hoping for one night of rectification! Perhaps after the Haunted Motel (or perhaps there?)! Loey
  9. Glad you're OK! Too bad we weren't together. What a team we would have made! I managed to spill a glass of apple juice all over the counter, counter chair and floor- what a sticky mess!!!!!!!. Got on my hands and knees and cleaned it as best I could. Hubby washed floor when he got home from work (he really is Zuperman). We're in a new house and they...
  10. Witch Hazel has already faded it a little. As for what the bruise looks like. Th eye looks like a shiner but the face is more like a peninsula. Loey P.S. Karanggggg- glad hubby is not in the doghouse!!!!!!!!!
  11. Hubby picking it up for me on way home. Found out from someone on the bruising thread I posted that Arnicca Montana can cause GI problems and internal bleeding. Considering that I have an ulcer I think witch hazel is safer. Thanks!!!!! Loey

    ARCHIVED Bruising

The bruising spread to the entire side of my face toady. I think, perhaps because I tend to sleep on that side (and that's side I rolled out of bed from). Let me tell you the thud was so loud it woke my husband up as soon as it happened he immediately brought me ice. It's still very swollen (in addition to the bruising) and I don't know if I should still...
  13. What about getting into our pours when showering? I just bought gluten-free hair and shower products. Loey

    ARCHIVED Back Issues

I find that if I sleep on my back I wake up in severe pain. I even had h=no sensation in my legs in the middle of night one. I now sleep with a pillow between my legs (not a very large one). That tends to keep me from sleeping on my back and helps with waking up in less pain. Loey

    ARCHIVED Back Issues

I've alway been prone to what I considered "pulling my back out and extreme klutziness." i also suffer from ataxia which i learned here is caused by a vitamin deficiency. I have osteoporosis and I had herniated discs when I was younger. My most recent flare with Celiac has caused excruciating abdominal and lower back pain. I am following a modified elimination...

    ARCHIVED Bruising

I was just diagnosed with Celiac in June. I had been bedridden for 6 weeks and the GI I was seeing literally gave me all of my test results the night before we moved. She thought that the Celiac had gone undiagnosed for decades and wanted me to have the capsule endoscopy as soon as I found a GI in my new state. I found a new GI because i wanted to get my...
  17. The owner has Celiac and I assumed it was gluten-free because she knows how sensitive I am. I'll be able to tell REALLY soon if it's not. Just googled it and some brands contain sucrolose and lactose (both of which I'm avoiding). I really need this to fade as being housebound is not good for my mental health and covering it up is expensive and time consuming...
  18. My dad once went to a party as a baby. My mom used a tablecloth to make the diaper and he had a baby bonnet and a bottle. She went as a boy scout. I think I still have a picture of it somewhere. Loey
  19. Did hubby remember your birthday? If not you have a BIG IOU coming!!!!!!!!!! My husband and I have birthdays that are only 4 days (and 11 years with me being the older one) apart. Hard not to remember. Loey
  20. Except with Gavin Rossdale! Loey
  21. Just googled it and a Hollaback girl is: A girl that is willing to be treated like a doormat or booty call. She is a girl that will allow guys to do whatever they want with her and ... Loey
  22. I use Safari but still get the spinning rainbow at times (I'm guessing that's the equivalent to freezing). Then I switch to Firefox or restart my computer. Frequently I lose what I've written when i try to preview it or if I want to go to another page to copy something to add (like an emoticon). I hide the window of the page I'm typing (yellow button in the...
  23. I'm the one who was paranoid to list my state because my new GI was dismissive before I got the ulcer diagnosis on top of Celiac (he's done a 360). I was afraid he's see my posts (as if that's what he does in his free time). I also was lucky enough to meet someone in my state before I took it off my profile and it's wonderful to have a new friend who understands...
  24. I just gave you a positive to undo it. I'm going to give you another positive because I've found all of your posts very helpful. Still sporting my black eye! Loey
  25. I follow the threads that I'm interested in. I set up my "settings" so that I get an email from the administrators or forum anytime a new post is made on a thread I'm participating in or following. Now granted, sometimes I'll get 45 emails but I can delete the email when I've read it or save it if I don't have time to go to the thread then. It also allows...
