About Me

I am Jessica, mom for 2 wonderful boys, Michael, 5, and Dean, 3. I work full time. I am a lactation counselor by trade. Right now I'm in an administrative job to pay the bills.

My husband and I appeared on Dr.Phil. Since then I have had wonderful things happen for me. Dr.Phil has a personal trainer, a nutritionist, and a therapist that I work with on a regular basis (just about every day). In working to my weightloss goals, we learned that I am very intolerant to gluten and dairy. I had the celiac lab work done, and am waiting for the results. My 3 year old has the same digestion as me. Has had problems since he was born. He was tested also.

I can look back as far as I remember and see now all the signs of a gluten problem. I can't ever remember my dad without a bottle of rolaids. I'm pretty sure he has it as well. He is no longer in my life so I don't have any current information.

My husband has been really supportive, and helps where he can.

  1. I've had this rash on and off for years. The last 9 months its getting worse and worse. I was gluten-free for a year ago for a year but life dumped on me and I went back to the dark side. I was okay for a while but now I'm flairing with this rash on my ankles feet and shins. Sometimes it's my hands also. I have scars.... It itches so uncontrollable that...
  2. Thanks! I. Look back at my old posts and I see how truly miserable i was. Now the new symptoms baffle me.... Lol
  3. I everyone! So much has happened since I last posted. Got divorced, went back to gluten. No more GI symptoms, but DH now bad. Went to the dermatologist, and he told me there is no rash associated with celiac, so I knew he didn't know anything and left. So, back gluten free I go!!!!
  4. Since we are no longer married- how do I get rid
  5. Here is a big update...... We are almost done with our divorce..... He told me the "gluten drama" was the end. He found someone else, cheated on me, got caught, I kicked him out and filed for divorce. The new guy, it looks to me like he has some gluten issues. I went back to gluten in hopes to save my marraige. I know how great I feel without it.... But...
  6. I am trying to find other members that share similar life as me. Sounds from your post you have children and a husband that can eat "normal" food. I am there with you. I am still trying to figure out this site but I tried to add you as a friend, if you don't mind that is.

  7. Ok, here is the certified lactation counselors' view :-) 1. Are you on any meds? 2. What kind of delivery (section/vaginal) 3. Can you feel yourself let down (tingle)? 4. Did you get engourged? 5. Do you own a pump? Could be dairy and eggs. Also look at the oj. Very acidy. I am nursing a 3 month old. I'm gluten-free and have been through...
  8. I'm down 1 pound this week. Due to all the yucky colds exercise isnt looking promising this week.
  9. But the manufacture is not listed there. The manufacturer is a company called LEG.
  10. What is a scrib? I know he is I was so pissd off! I td him he should know or be able to find out. He said I would have to look on the Internet for contact info etc. All that comes back is leg cramps ugh.
  11. I was just diagnosed with ADHD (at 30) but have had it my whole life. I notice if ibget glutened it gets much worse. Casein is also something worse staying away from.
  12. I just started the prescription. O don't know why I didn't think about it, but I called the pharmacy tonight to see if it was gluten-free. The pharmacist told me it was a manufacture by the name of LEG. He said i would have to look it up to see if it's gluten-free. I can't find the manufacture anywhere. Anyone heard of them?
  13. I steers therapy yesterday. She is the one who diagnosed it in one session. I started reading about it. The OCD diagnosis I believe wa wrong. I think it's add. I just want the brainy fog, follow through, and motivation to improve. Hopefully I can do it without meds. I seem to clear up on anti anxieties. The dr gave me a script for Prozac. Scared to death...
  14. I'm exclusively breastfeeding. I'm scared to take anything.
