  1. This is why I was nervous. I can see a REALLY big plastic cutting board in my future.
  2. I have no idea how much Fallon's charges, but here's the website: Open Original Shared Link Their stuff looks amazing. There's a place in Totawa too. Here's their website: Open Original Shared Link I'm not sure how far that is from you.
  3. There's a bakery in Ford's NJ called Fallon's Gluten Free Bake Shop that makes Cannolis (order 1 day in advance). There's a place in Pt Pleasant called Mileto that makes Polish and Italian food. I'm not sure where in NJ you are. I have a place in Milltown and in Marlboro where I can get pizza, and the one in Marlboro has other Italian food, too. Overall...
  4. I do hope you see some positive behavioral changes. I'm hoping to see the same thing with my son who has autism when we all go gluten-free. I understand it can take 3 to 6 months to see behavioral changes, but this is the gluten-free/casein-free diet. I hope I don't have to go that far, but am certainly open to it if that becomes the case. Good luck!...
  5. Next weekend we will be switching over our kitchen to gluten-free. So far we know we'll need to clean out the pantry and overstock from the basement. We'll wash down all shelves in each area. We'll be washing down all kitchen cabinet shelves as well. Both freezers will be cleaned out of all gluten-containing foods and shelves washed down, including all...
  6. The lovely snowstorm we got here in the NE has postponed my colonoscopy, which was originally scheduled for tomorrow. Both will now be done on Thursday. Could someone please tell me when I might expect to hear results on the endoscopy? Either way I'm gluten-free starting Thursday. We're doing an overhaul of the kitchen next weekend.
  7. I'd love your recipe, please.
  8. I intend on explaining things in reference to a peanut allergy. Would you expect someone with a peanut allergy to eat nuts? Of course not. Then why would you expect me to eat something that could potentially kill me? Say what you mean, mean what you say, and don't say it mean. Case closed. Smile and enjoy your meal.
  9. This can be missed with an endoscopy? I was told it was the gold standard. Oh, please don't tell me that! My doc said there was a 10% false negative with the blood work so she wanted to do the endo.
  10. Of all the things the medical community can dream up to do to you, that doesn't sound terrible. Thank you for responding. I was anticipating feeling sore in the intestinal area. I must say I'm NOT looking forward to eating gluten again. I'm just sick and tired of being sick and tired. I've got the best family in the world who have agreed to have the...
  11. Hi everyone. After 2 1/2 months of D that I could not make stop, I finally went to the doctor who ran standard blood tests and stool cultures and ordered an ultrasound (suspecting my gallbladder). All were negative, so I was sent to the gastro who immediately asked me if I were of Irish decent. She suspects celiac and after poking my nose around here and...
  12. Endoscopy scheduled for 12/30

  13. PLEASE tell me that chocolate is not one of the things we can't eat.
  14. I'm VERY new to all of this...going for my biopsy next Thursday. But let me tell you, this would explain so many digestion problems for so many years of my life. Thank you for posting so many restaurants. I work in the Freehold area and we spend time in the Lavallette area, but I live in East Brunswick. Dusal's in Milltown makes a gluten-free pizza...
