  1. Thanks for the info. I've never taken part of a Forum before, so I'm still learning. I appreciate the website and I'll try the search, but if anyone has a recipe that they've tried and loved, please let me know. Thanks.
  2. Is there gluten in nail polish? If so, what brands are safe?
  3. Hey and thanks! I didn't graduate from ECU, but my oldest son did. My middle son is still there and my youngest wants to go when he graduates High School.
  4. I am new to the gluten-free diet. Will you please share good recipes for these grains as most are new to me? Thanks for your help. GRAINS: Teff (do you use brown or ivory?) Millet Amaranth Quinoa Sorghum
  5. I am still new to learning about Celiac and the products I can use. This site has been a true blessing. Is anyone able to use the following without any problems? 6. Thanks for contacting CoverGirl, We know Celiac is a serious disease, so we want to give you clear information regarding the use of our beauty care products. If wheat and/or gluten aren't directly added to a product by us, these ingredients won't be listed on our packages. Like many companies, we often purchase the scents for fragranced products from...
  7. Thanks so much for sharing this information. At least it gives me an idea of what to look for. I could easily spend an hour in Costco before I was diagnosed; now there is no telling how long it will take me!
  8. In case anyone is interested, here is a response from Burt's Bees regarding a few of their products. Thank you for contacting Burt's Bees. The Radiance Eye Creme is gluten free. All of our lip balms, lip glosses, lip shimmers and new tinted lip balms are gluten free except for the Res-Q SPF 15 Lip Balm. This product does contain gluten...
  9. I know for sure that I was low on vit. D, Vit. B12, and vit. K. Found this out before I found out what was wrong. My NP (one who specilaizes in Women's Health, bioidentical hormones, etc.) even stated about a year ago that she couldn't understand why my body was not absorbing these nutrients (vit. B12 & vit.D) even when I was taking large quantities....
  10. I was just recently diagnosed with Celiac, so I'm still learning. Below you will find some Companies Elizabeth Hasselbeck recommends in her book-"The gluten-free Diet," as well as some I've seen recommended in this forum. Someone also recommended the website-www.vitacost.com to purchase many of their non-perishable gluten-free foods, supps, etc. I've checked...
  11. Just recently found out that I have celiac. I love to shop at Costco. Anyone have a list of gluten free items (i.e. meds., supplements, personal care products, etc.)? I can't aford to continue to purchase items to find out later that they contain gluten. Thanks for the help. Also, I did call and find out that the Kirkland brand of Ibuprofen and the Unscented...
  12. I realized a few weeks ago, after hearing Elizabeth Hasselbeck talk about celiac/gluten intolerance, and doing more research, that at minimum I am gluten intolerant. I have been on a Gluten free diet for the last 1-2 weeks and feel so much better; that is, until I accidently get glutened! As I read more about the symptoms, and realized that this rash that...
  13. My oldest son lives in New Bern, NC and will be getting married in May 2011. I have been eating gluten-free for only a few weeks, so still learning. We will be going down this weekend to visit and will be traveling there a lot over the next few months. Can anyone tell me please where I can get good, healthy, gluten-free restaurant food. Thanks.
