  1. I talked to my hubbie about it and I told him he could get his gluten fix when he's at work. He eat's out all the time because of his job so he shouldn't have a hard time with being gluten free at home. My kids are just going to have to eat what I make for them. I'm cleaning my house out this weekend. Thanks you guys!
  2. 73. Sleep in a separate room so you don't feel guilty about "gassing" anyone. 74. Catch up on seasons of shows you missed or always wanted to watch. 75. Take naps in the darkest, coldest room in the house. 76. Wear the most comfortable clothes you own. You're going for comfort not speed! 77. Make a HUGE pot of REAL chicken stock and white rice...
  3. I've been taking Free Form L-Glutamine 500MG from Source Naturals once a day. It's yeast, dairy, egg, gluten, soy, and wheat free. I honestly don't know if it's doing any good because I still fell horrible. Will see in time if it works. Thanks for the other posts!
  4. I was just reading about periods after being gluten free and I started thinking about how it if any affects you body if you have a tubal ligation. Any one out there been through both?
  5. I wish I could tell you. I'm also trying to figure out what to do next. Know you're not alone and that there are MANY people who know how you feel. Everyone on this board is wonderful and they'll help you. Also, no question is a dumb question Try talking to your priest and see if there is a way for you to use a rice cracker instead. It's important enough...
  6. I've been diagnosed with IBS, spastic colon, acid reflux disease, and an over active gallbladder (chronic D) by a GI. I had an ultrasound of my stomach etc, but there was so much gas in there the tech had a hard time seeing. Never had a "retake." Blood test came back borderline. The last GI I saw asked me where I was from. I said Mexico. To which he replied...
  7. After MUCH inner struggle I gave up on dairy and casein. I still find myself trying to justify greek yogurt. Nothing tastes as good as being healthy feels. Nothing tastes as good as being healthy feels. Nothing tastes as good as being healthy feels. Repeat 3 times. Stay strong, you're worth it!!!!
  8. Did you end up getting a copy of your file? If you didn't you or your husband (whichever is calmest) should go back and get one. ALWAYS ask for a copy of THAT day, that way they can't give you sass about having to request and have it take days blah, blah, blah. That way you can also compare your bill vs. your record. Next Dr who pulls the same just say thank...
  9. Don't ever worry about what a Dr tells you unless you have DEFINITIVE PROOF. In my very early 20's I was told I might have colon cancer once by my GI. All he really did was run blood work and push a bunch of pills at me saying all I had was an over active gallbladder, IBS and acid reflux. He never did anything else other than charge me for multiple office...
  10. Not having support at home makes things much harder than they already are. Hang in there. I think it's an awesome idea to see if your mom will give you a food allowance. You could also just ask her if you can do the shopping since she hates going and I'm sure she's so tired after working all day, etc. etc. I used to make the grossest food when I first started...
  11. I think having anxiety and anxiety attacks scare me the most of the side effects of being glutened. I can deal with cramps, with migraines, D, bloating, etc. Anxiety is a whole other monster. You can feel it coming, creeping up and standing next to you. The thing that helps me when it's getting there is laying down on the floor face down. Slow steady deep...
  12. I would just really like to say thank you to ALL of you for being there. Thank you for responding to the posts and sharing. I'm the only one in my family (so far) with celiac. I don't really bother telling my husband anything any more because he blew me off as a hypochondriac years ago. I understand where he's coming from. Kind of like the way I feel about...
  13. Sorry, I was just frustrated. I've been calling manufacturers FOR DAYS ( I know, get used to it.) She first said there was, then there wasn't because it was synthetic. Thank you for taking the time to respond to this post. I really appreciate it. Sorry I'm losing it.
  14. Because I am addicted to Cover Girl's lashblast mascara I called CoverGirl to find out IF THIS mascara was gluten/wheat free. I was told that it was gluten free as were most of their products. I asked where the vitamin E came from (wheat germ,) and the CSR said that it would say on the label if it were derived from wheat, barley, oats, etc and that this...
  15. Hi! I'm new and a bit lost and lonely. I've been almost totally gluten free for the past week and my body is freaking out. I've eliminated gluten from my food, but I've had a couple set backs with lotion and conditioner. I have a major acne breakout, I'm bloated, constant dizzy feeling, migraine, constipated, my hair is falling out by the hand fulls, super...
