  1. both will happen here. Welcome
  2. thank you for your thoughts. I am seeing my specialist this afternoon and see what she thinks. I hate when I have to admit my mistakes to her. I should know better.
  3. Just wanted to taste it. Not my brightest move.
  4. Yesterday at the baseball game my son was having nachos with the fake cheese and salsa. I couldn't resist. My husband told me not too but I, stupidly said "It's not real cheese so a little should be ok". Now today I have body aches and swollen lymph nodes. Is this a symptom of being caseined or maybe the actual flu? The last time I got glutened I felt...
  5. I don't have a problem thinking of it as a diet. This is a life choice. It is poison you are putting into your body. For me that makes all the difference. I say "oh, look there is cake. Yum. Oh that's poison." It no longer feels like I'm deprived. I hope this helps.
  6. I'm also low maintenance. I couldn't believe I would have to "think" about what to make and "PLAN". I've only been doing it 2 weeks and I have to say it's not too bad. It's actually less fuss 'cause you eat simple. No big complex meals. I hope you find comfort knowing you are not alone.

    ARCHIVED Too Hot

That's funny. I always ask my husband. Is it really hot in here? Usually he says "no". I'm so hoping that I'll be "normal" after getting my sensitivities in check. I can't tell you how relieved I am hearing stories like mine. I've never met anyone that has had this problem. thank you, thank you....

    ARCHIVED I Am Stupid

get the book "Why Do I Still Have Thyroid Symptoms? When My Lab Tests are Normal." by Dr. Kharrazian. I was beginning to think all my issues where in my head. My doctor recommended that I read it and I'm now on my way to better health. The doctors can only test for certain things and then the "refrence range" is based on your community results. So you...

    ARCHIVED Too Hot

Does anybody get really hot sometimes? I'm wondering if this is a symptom of Celiac. For as long as I remember I've always been the hotest one in the room. I am miserably hot. ALL THE TIME. I'm not talking about heat flashes. My house is so cold people that come over bring sweaters. Just wondering if anybody else has this problem. I've never met anyone...
  12. party twin you are an ispiration. I too have many symptoms. I was the thin one and got carded occasionally. I'm now the fat one and was carded not too long ago but for a senior citizen discount. I also atributed my aches and coordination to my rapid weight gain. about 100 pounds in 6 years. Spent tons on money on different doctors, medication...
  13. I sometimes feel like I've been hit by a truck. I have to get a massage before getting an adjustment at the chiropractor. I was also walking like an old lady and having to watch the ground so I wouldn't trip. I just thought it was due to my fast weight gain and that I didn't know where my "new" body center of gravity was.
  14. You sound just like me. In fact my husband and I are in therapy 'cause I'm not who he married. I don't know who I am. I did the opposite. I was healthy, happy and "the life of the party". Now, I gained 100lbs, I feel horrible and it's hard to move. I've lost all my strength, muscle. With EBV I am unable to exercise like I should. Talk about hair...
  15. I don't have the blisters but was always told I had foliculitis. I have had the itching without the rash for about 20 years. Now if have a rash all over that I've had almost a year. AND I noticed a few months ago that I am getting psoriasis. I just want it all to go away and be "normal" again.
  16. I just read this information at Open Original Shared Link Dermatitis Herpetiformis Treatment Dermatits herpetiformis is a chronic condition with symptoms that may persist for some time. Thankfully, there are some treatments that can significantly lessen the symptoms of this condition. Although it is not clear how gluten intolerance is related to this...
  17. It is SO nice to not be alone anymore. No one could understand my pain. I'm sure I sounded like a hypochondriac. I kept getting new symptoms. I have had itching for over 20 years. Sometimes so bad that I would want to pull my skin off. I had one doctor tell me that I must be a "cutter". NO IT ITCHES! I have scars all over my body. I had acrylic...
  18. Try going to www.enterolab.com They do all kinds of food testing as well as DNA testing. It's all stool samples so it's right from the gut which I hear is more reliable than blood
  19. CC - I'm a newbie and was making pasta for the family. I made mine with quinoa and regular pasta for my husband. The best way to make sure pasta is done is by tasting it. YEP, I did. Darn! Didn't think about it until it was in my mouth
  20. Wow, you've been through a lot. I have been really sick since 1/04 after a miscarriage. Tested positive for Epstein-Barr. I have had a hard time getting well and continue to have new symptoms. I found a great doctor that could tell what my issues were even though I had tested negative with blood tests. I am greatful for her. She is literally saving...
  21. I had tests done at EnteroLab and it showed negative for the Celiac gene.
  22. ok. thank you
  23. I am a new member and see that my posts need to be reviewed before they post. How long does this take? I have questions that I would like to see more information on.
  24. go to enteroLab www.enterolab.com they do stool tests which are far better than blood tests. My blood work for gluten came back fine but my stool test came back highly sensitive and I found out that I inherited it from both my parents and am passing it on to my boys. : (
  25. I'm gluten sensitive NOT Celiac. Do I need to be concerned with small amounts of gluten? Cross contamination? What's the difference between being sensitive and having Celiac?
