About Me

Diagnosed Celiac Disease~Enterolab results in 2009.

  1. Funny I live in Golden, CO...home of Coors and literally live down the street from the main facility and have never heard of their Gluten free beer. Toured their facility too and they have never mentioned it. Personally I'm scared of "gluten removed" beers...don't want to risk it. New Planet here in Colorado makes a great line of ales, dark, and light beers...
  2. I was wondering if anyone has tried Glutenza? It's a product by this Doctor...Tom O'Bryan, I heard him on underground wellness podcast...he has a product that he claims helps within a 2 hour period to minimize symptoms if you are "glutened". Open Original Shared Link Anyone tried it and had success? I've tried other probiotics before and had not felt...
  3. I started reading a lot on good quality single sourced beans and using a French press to keep the flavor etc and started buying higher end coffee...only to realize that my stomach does not handle it well! Seems only weaker coffee sits ok with me. Folgers Simply Smooth seems to be fine and other just lower end coffee brands. Has anyone else had this experience...
  4. If you are interested in exploring the carb issue...I would really encourage you to look into the work of Chris Kessler, Mark Sisson and other advocates of the Paleo diet and lifestyle. I went paleo to manage my Celiacs and IBS. I've looked into doing SCD and GAPS and now FODMAPS...might want to look into that instead...my may not need to go full SCD as...
  5. I'm going to start the antibiotics for SIBO this week for 10 days. From all the research I've read from Allison Siebecker and other sites, the FODMAP diet is a form of treatment as well and supplements. For anyone who has undergone this form of treatment, did you start supplements while on antibiotics? Which ones specifically did you take? Did you start...
  6. There are some really great gluten free and paleo restaurants that have popped up here in the last few years. PALEOOMG.com lives in the Denver area and she constantly posts/reviews great new restaurants along with awesome recipes. If the spot is paleo, it is definitely gluten free. Sprouts and Alfalfa have good selections of products along with whole foods...
  7. Hey Tonalynn, I live in Golden, CO and I was just looking today for local celiacs support groups. Did you ever find anything here in town?
  8. I decided to join the gluten free singles.com dating website and am really disappointed by the site and lack of users. Has anyone had experience with this site? I thought it could be fun to finally go out to eat with someone who also has celiac disease but alas...there aren't even any members that live in my area of Golden, CO! What kind of sites have...
  9. I was diagnosed Celiac back in 2009...I'm very sensitive. My roommate brought gluten in the house and I've been sick for two weeks. I went around yesterday wiping everything down with disinfectant so I hopefully will start to feel better now. However, I've always believed in manifesting your own reality and The Secret and The Magic, Ask and it is Given...
  10. What about the items that are already in separate containers? Like the veggie chips etc that they will package and sell right next to the bulk area?
  11. Does anyone have trouble with peanuts and not other nuts?
  12. Has anyone had the courage to try any of the foods available to purchase in bulk at Whole Foods, sprouts or trader joes? Where you bag your own from the bins. I'm really curious to know if I would react to that stuff but I'm hesitant to try as I am super sensitive but damn it would save me money when making my own trail mixes. Has anyone had a good...
  13. I'm bringing this post back to light because I'm wondering what brands of nuts are safe?!?!? I am having all kinds of problems with eating nuts lately and I love them...they fuel my mtn bike rides etc when I make my own trail mixes and well I'm probably just addicted. I've tried the Target Archer Farms mixed nuts...no allergy information that should indicate...
  14. Does anyone else feel like they eat ALOT compared to others? I think its maybe my activity level but I feel like my plates of veggies are huge!! I don't mind at all but people look at me funny sometimes!
  15. Thanks, I actually take B12 shots monthly, an omega 3 and a vitamin D pill regularly, doesn't seem to help. I eat fruit...is that the type of sugar you're talking about? I eat at least one fat serving per meal such as avocado or olive oil. I'm an active mtn biker, climber and hiker and eat alot of nuts as well on the trail! He mentions: "If you can handle...
