  1. I have made a fabulous recipe that I was proud of. Rice, sweet potates, peppers, onions, and black beans. mmmmm. It takes alot of pans, but worth it! You just peel and dice the sweet potates, season them and cook them in a 400 degree oven, cook your black beans, rinsed and in some clear water on the stove top, cook the peppers and onions in a pan, with some...
  2. The Doctor had me on 50,000 IU a week, and then I was supposed to take 1,000 a day on top of that. That seemed excessive to me so I backed off of the 50,000 a week, and now the symptoms are returning. A doctor has to monitor it, and unfortunately I don't have health insurance. So, I take 2,000 a day. Hopefully it will work itself out!
  3. OOH! And this one, too! Open Original Shared Link
  4. Good Job Mushroom!! That's awesome! I found this article online: Open Original Shared Link Wow! Does the defiency make your legs itchy and then hurt?
  5. I would be SO excited at being just below normal levels too! Thanks for your response!
  6. I am curious as to how many of us have Vitamin D defiencies. Mine was severe, and I struggle to raise my count, and have been all year. Anyone else?
  7. I also suggested Sjogrens on another of your posts. Definitely look into that! I take fish oil 3 a day, a multi vitamin, magnesium, Vitamin D, which I am going to post a poll here to find out how many of us have Vit. D deficiencies, vitamin C, and a multi that has Glucosamine, MSM, and Chondroitin.
  8. Greg, Caffiene works in mysterious ways with me. Some days I feel as if I could climb Mt. Everest after 1 cup, and sometimes, I feel like I could fall over and die from stomach pain, etc., after 1/2 a cup. Your symptoms though sound alot like sjogrens. Open Original Shared Link I was tested for that as well, and had a weird partial positive reading. Celiac...
  9. It IS nearly impossible for me to eat out without having adverse side effects. Gluten is snuck into nearly everything out there. The worst for me is the soy sauce. I LOVE soy sauce, and never would have guessed it was the culprit for so many of my attacks, but it was indeed responsible. They do make gluten free soy sauce but who wants to walk in with a bottle...
  10. I am so sorry. It is difficult on the best days. It's very hard to find foods that aren't laden with sneaky additives, or coated in wheat flour as even nuts are that they give you to sprinkle on your salads. Sneaky, sneaky gluten!
  11. PIZZA with Macaroni and cheese on top of it...(drooling like Homer Simpson) I would pay $50 happily! And then top it off with a funnel cake..Oh MY Goodness!
  12. Corn can be troublesome for me as well! Rice is generally ok, but Rice crackers cause my stomach to hurt, as does rice flour pizzas, sadly, as I really thought I had found a way to have pizza. But, I was SO sick after eating it. Corn is difficult to digest regardless, and has no viable nutrients. Yet it is a staple in the American diet. Luckily, black beans...
  13. I have a theory as to why this happens. A Gluten sensitivity / allergy, is an autoimmune disorder, and when we eat Gluten our bodies attack themselves. When we are eating it on a daily basis, a vicious cycle occurs, and the body is constantly fighting off the gluten attack. When you stop eating Gluten and then introduce it to the system again, your body is...
