  1. [Check my post on celiac and infections...I wasn't kidding..I just got a stool test result stating that I had a Helicobacter Pylori infection along with bacterial overgrowth. Yes you can have infections.. I would encourage a stool test and some probiotics. L-glutamine aids in healing..
  2. I just don't like people suffering needlessly out there..
  3. Infections like giardia, cryptosporidium parvum, E. Hystolitica, H. Pylori, Candida overgrowth, Ascaris(roundworm) and many more can upset digestive function. Celiacs often have one or more of these infections, so it wouldn't hurt to rule these out with a comprehensive stool test. Many times if you have symptoms after going gluten free, these infections...
  4. Candida is caused by chronic infection or overuse of antibiotics.
  5. Check this out.... www.personalconsult.com/articles/infectionsandmentalsymptoms.html
  6. Is there any way to erase this thread? I didn't mean to start a war. GEEEEZZZ!!!Why doesn't everybody calm the heck down? I'm only stating facts through education and research. Boy oh boy, I feel like the world is against me...I truly care about people and that's why I posted this thread. . I know from experience that conventional medicine is lacking...
  7. Everybody with northeastern european heritage is gluten intolerant to a certain degree. There is a whole subset that don't have celiac disease but are gluten intolerant. We simply haven't adapted to the Standard American Diet. Hundreds of thousands if not millions of people suffer from gluten related illness.
  8. Ok, I'll leave you alone, I only have one more question. Did you collect multiple stool samples and have bloodwork? Just curious.
  9. Ok Rachel, Go to diagnos-techs or great smokies again. Doesn't matter to me, but get tested again..How long have you been gluten free? Sometimes it takes months after the gut starts to heal and these infections will start to surface. I urge all of you with celiac to test for these buggers. Like I said, I'm not affiliated with any lab, so I...
  10. Find another doc quick!! I would do a comprehensive stool analysis to find out if you have any other things going on. If they find something, you can treat it and completely get your health back. Best wishes
  11. Parasitic infections cause night sweats. What other symptoms do you have?
  12. Best of luck to you Rachel..
  13. First of all, I didn't start this thread to start an argument, I started it to help others. I believe in conventional medicine for certain things. There good at fixing broken bones and giving bypasses and saving lives and such. As far as preventative medicine goes, they don't have a clue. They treat diseases with drugs but rarely diagnose conditions...
  14. What about quackwatch? I'm only trying to help. So you believe medication is the only to treat diseases? What about finding root causes? The doc on quackwatch doesn't know his ass from his elbow. Why is disease and sickness on the rise? Check out the website before you cast judgement..
  15. That's too bad Rachel, sorry to hear that. Take care..
  16. Did you have your thyroid removed or is it not working properly? It wouldn't hurt to get a second opinion. Have you read the books the Diet Cure and The mood cure?, good stuff. Lot's of info on thyroid disorders. I read a study that gluten alone causes Hashimotos autoimmune thyroid. I believe it since cutting out gluten reversed Hashi's in all patients...
  17. Susan, The treatment is mainly anti-parasitic meds. They do treat with drugs, but they know what treatment works for what ever infection(s) you have. They don't use a shotgun approach, there are standard protocols for different infections. While taking the meds, supplements will help keep the liver working properly, every base is covered here...
  18. I'm a patient, so yes I'm working with them but not for them. Rachel, if you tested negative just after going gluten free, I urge you to test again. These infections are sometimes so deep in the small intestine, once the gut heals , they start to come out. Sometimes they will be detected months after going gluten-free. Great smokies doesn't have the workup...
  19. Hi everyone, I've noticed that some have been suffering with symptoms even after going gluten free. Well I just want to let everybody know there is help out there. I am not a spokesman nor do I work in the medical field. I'm a pro golfer actually. I am gluten intolerant person seeking the truth. I encourage all of you to visit www.biohealthinfo...
  20. Hi susan, I loved your post!! It's amazing what the body can do once the stressors are taken off. Just let everyone know, I'm not celiac, but am gluten intolerant. My family has a history of depression, anxiety disorder, strong tobacco addiction..These are all signs of gluten sensitivity. My aunt and uncle both suffer from panic disorder and...
  21. I will list some symptoms of parasitic infection: Chronic fatigue Swollen joints increased appetite after meals nervous or irritable bruxism(teeth grinding) dark circles under eyes hair loss night sweats blurry, unclear vision foggy brain constipation abdominal or liver cramps crusted mucus in nose rectal itching bowel urgency malabsorption...
  22. When were you tested for infections? It sometimes takes 3-6 months for them to come out after you have been gluten free. I work with biohealth diagnostics and they have the number 1 workup anywhere. Parasites and other infectious agents hide out in the damaged gut. They specialize with celiacs and in 20 years they have ALWAYS found infections in people...
  23. Dear Kallie and others, I would encourage all of you that are gluten free to get tested for infections. Parasites cause hair loss and if you have any lingering symptoms you need to be tested. If you're gluten intolerance you will have infection(s) I don't know what the posting rules are, but I have been working with a great lab who checks for...
  24. Hello, I've been gluten free for a month now. I still wake up an everything looks dark and gray. I still go do the things I once did, but this dark cloud depression really stinks. I feel foggy all the time..That's my most aggravating symptom. I have given up smoking, drinking, caffeine, and gluten in the past 6 mos. I'm wondering if I self...

    ARCHIVED Grrrr....

Amen to that Ian.. That's a great post. I have had some resistance to this. This is not a diet. We are simply eating healthier than most, and it makes them jealous. To be able to find the root cause of an illness is a tremendous accomplishment. I'm not even going to test to see if I'm gluten intolerant. I know I am through research and a functional medicine...
