  1. Any new meds or skincare products?
  2. Thank you, I think I will go ahead and ask the GI to do it, gonna be in that area anyway right? :)and I have been eating gluten 2 out of 3 meals(oh and snacks too) for awhile now but hopefully someone else can chime in. How was your endoscopy and how did you feel after? I"ve never had one done or been "put out" Apparantly I have reaaaaaaaaally bad reflux...
  3. Hi, I am getting the endoscopy done because of really bad reflux and see on my info sheet that it will go through the esophagus, stomach and duodenum(first portion of the small intestine) is the duodenum the part of the intestine that is biopsied for celiac? should I ask for a celiac biopsy at the same time? does anyone know if it would be a separate charge...
  4. last monday my tummy felt bad, lots of rumbling, gas and a tight feeling..had to go the bathroom more than usual but it wasn't diarrhea. Felt the same all week but haven't had to run to the bathroom...this happens sometime after drinking milk...Inoticed that when I eat ice cream, I have a huge amount of pressure that builds up until I can burp. I did...
  5. Pamela's Products chocolate cake mix! very good, turns out very moist.
  6. you might want to give him half a dose...in my experince once I stopped giving the miralax the constipation started. the runny stage sucks, but that's the new poop that's getting pushed around the old poop that is stuck in his colon..I think he has alot more to get out! it will be runny for awhile, then might come out in chuncks, then finally will have...
  7. really? glad you figured it out! btw, do you happen to remember how high your eosinophils were?
  8. what consistency are his stools? we were told to keep our kids on a full dose til their poop had a softer consistency then to back off to half a dose...we were never told to not give them anything to eat but they don't have the same problem as your child(dysmobility?) what about just giving him a small amount of something to eat?
  9. does a negative DGP IgG indicate no celiac? all IgA tests are negative but a low total serum IgA which I know means a false negative on the IgA tests but what about the DGP IgG? thanks!
  10. I'm just wondering how many of you, who have had a positive blood test, or endoscopy have/had high eosinophils? I know it can mean other things but I thought it'd be interesting to see how many have high eosinophils
  11. I think I'd go with the miralax, maybe half the dose, it will get things moving more, so if he has accidents, it's not his fault, he might have a lot poop stuck in his colon and the poop that does start to come out will be more liquidy and he might not be able to make it to the bathroom on time. I don't k now why it'd have the constipated smell but the tar...
  12. did you eat foods with gluten for every meal?
  13. I was going to say the same thing. When my kids get constipated they won't hardly eat anything. I can't remember if you said you were giving him anything for the constipation? might try some miralax just to help get things moving. Good luck with the allergist and definitely switch doctors.
  14. only 3 things were tested, can't remember but I can post them later if needed...would a positive test result need to have the results higher than the range given? I was eating gluten several times a day for quite awhile..don't remember how long is there a way to test for gluten intolerance? main symptom if not eating gluten-free is really bad heartburn...
  15. PNW Rick, where are you getting the MTHFR ultra folate? which MTHFR mutation do you have? just curious!
  16. wasn't sure where to put this. I will be getting new b12 results this week..but for now the first time I had my b12 tested it was 338 did not eat gluten free when this was taken. another test it had dropped to 302(this is when I was eating 100%gluten free) last test 274 eating a little gluten for celiac testing. question is why would b12 decrease when...
  17. Just wondering, just noticed ds has these all over the back of his arms. I"ll try to get a picture up tomorrow...I don't think it itches, I never see him scratch his arms(it's on the back of his arms) and never complains that it's itchy. I've looked at lots of pictures and still can't tell what it is, I'll be making a derm appointment for him, but...
  18. Has he been checked for lyme disease?I *think* I've read about some people getting those electric shock feelings...just an idea!!
  19. wow that's scary!! I just checked my labs( I had a blood workup done a few months ago) my calcium is 8.9 and the range is 8-20 so I wonder if mine is considered really low, even though it's in range?? How low was your calcium?
  20. your tsh is low and your t3 and t4 are high, everything is out of range. really what are they waiting for???
  21. definitely see another doctor..I believe vomiting can be a sign of hyperthyroidism...and you definitely should be treated... untreated can lead to serious problems.
  22. I don't know...I've always had to request testing for iron and vitamins.
  23. I haven't been diagnosed with Celiac(getting test done tomorrow) but I do have Hashimoto's ..my Vitamin D was really low 21 and my B12 is at 274 that's still in range but I believe that is still a low number My labs showed that I was iron deficient but my iron level was ok...weird...
