  1. A couple weeks ago, the same type of thing happened to me. I never had a reaction to it. I did have a little stomachache- but it could have been caused by EXPECTING one . Anyway, good luck- and remember that if you don't get a reaction, it DOES NOT mean that the diet isn't working. I had trouble with that. Lisa
  2. Could both of you e-mail me each of your lists??? iamacaliforniagirl@yahoo.com Thanks, Lisa
  3. Has anyone had any ear problems or dizziness? Or ear problems that caused dizziness???? Mid-June last year, I had a horrible "dizzy attack." It went on for about 5 days or so and was constant. It calmed down the next few days, but kicked up again after I went on a plane. The dizziness is STILL there, after more than a year, and gets worse when I swim, go...
  4. I had about 4 times more than I should have had, if I remember correctly. Then with the endoscopy, the doctor could not tell just by my intestines if I had Celiac or not.. they had to take a sample.
  5. I have only had one "gluten dream." I was at a restaurant and I was eating chips and dip. The dip was REALLY good! I asked the waiter what it was, and he said that he forgot the name, but it was made of wheat! Then, I ran to the bathroom and started throwing up! I hope that never really happens!!!!
  6. BTW, MySuicidalTurtle.. I like your quote instead af the "Advanced Community Member"
  7. Yummm... my favorite are the chocolate glazed. They taste almost exactly like real doughnuts!!! Heat them up and grab a glass of milk, and I am on cloud nine!
  8. I have only been gluten-free for a couple months, but at first it seemed like my symptoms got worse. I don't know if they actually did, or if I was just expecting them to get better and they didn't. I am not completely better yet, but I don't have stomach aches and pains as often as I used to ( which was every day) !!! Don't worry, Lisa
  9. Does anyone know if Panera's coffee drinks are gluten-free???
  10. Hey! I am 13 years old. I haven't had Celiac for a long time (May 31, 2005) so I can't tell you much about it. But, if you need ANY help at all.. just e-mail me and I'll try my best!!!! Lisa
  11. That's wonderful!!! Glad to see you and your daughter had a successful experience! I went to the Storytellers Cafe the other day, and I had gluten-free pizza. I almost thought it was regular pizza, it was so good! Also, when they brought out bread for my friends, they brought me gluten-free bread and a chocolate muffin!!! I was ecstatic!! Actually...
  12. The same thing happened to a store near-by too!! I was really disappointed . It just opened a couple months ago and it had a really good gluten-free section. Lately, that has been what I want to do when I get older. Open a gluten-free resaurant or store. I know that business is hard, but it would definately be worth it . Lisa
  13. Try packing more in your lunch, or bring food that fills you up. Or, if you can't fit more food, and your school has them, then eat fruit or veggies. I know how you feel, though. All my school has is pizza (mmm.. it smells good) and cookies.
  14. Some people are like that. Unfortunatly, WE have to deal with them. Just make sure that it doesn't bother you. I know, it's hard, but let it go. Writing it on here was a good way of doing that. I don't like it when other people try my food, because I know it doesn't taste as good as theirs. But, I let them try some anyway, because every once in a while they...
  15. Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew of any good (doesn't chip off easily, stays on a long time, etc.) nail polish. It doesn't have to be colored.. but if anyone knows of any, that would be great! Thanks!
  16. I don't know how relevant what I am about to right is to the topic, but... Claim Jumper is very accomodating. I went there a couple days ago and I asked the waitress if they had a gluten-free menu. They do, but its on their website. I looked at it before and remembered what I could have on it, and the waitress was really nice about it and made sure that...
  17. Wow, thats really sweet!! Last year, my friend was bringing in some type of fudge that she makes at home. I mentioned that I had celiac disease before, and she was really nice about it. She told me all of the ingredients and made sure she was really careful about making it. I was so happy and touched that she would do that for me. Lisa
  18. I miss pizza.. when I see a nice, warm, cheesy pizza.. my mouth starts watering. Man, its like a fountain . Yeah, I pay a lot of attention to commercials. But I don't really care, though.. like when me and my friends are talking about a nice big chocolate cake or the best restaurant in town I don't back down.. I give my opinion like everyone else...
  19. The Gentle Skin Cleanser is gluten-free. I think the others are questionable, though. Lisa
  20. Here is a bakery for the cake: Open Original Shared Link I haven't been there or eaten their products.. but they look good. Lisa
  21. Just because... The strawberry mist whips by yoplait tastes like you just took a bite from a strawberry cloud. I could eat them all day!!
  22. Great! I was wondering if that was good, but like you said, its pricey. I have been missing banana bread!
  23. That's how I feel. I have probably been glutened so many times before, but I never knew that I ate it. Yeah.. I don't think I would eat one either. Yeah, I know. It just discourages me. I wish that I would at least get a little sick, just so I absolutely know for sure that this diet is working. Much more relieved, Lisa
  24. I know that it isn't nearly as bad.. since you have to live with your spouses, but I had the same problem with one of my best friends. I may have been overreacting, although I don't think so. At school, everyone around me is always eating wheat. And, obviously, I don't like to touch wheat, especially if I am eating. Well, there was a piece of goldfish or...
  25. Also, I didn't see the Trader Joes Chicken Taquitos on any gluten-free list.. even their own! They probably found out that they had it and took it off the list.
