  1. Andrea, I'm ok. I can handle critisism....it was just kind of not making sense to me...thats all. I'm moved on now...said what I needed to say. I rarely post outside this thread anymore and this is exactly why. What I'm really bummed about is the pots and pans issue. I was reading about teflon...
  2. Nancy, First of all I think you are way off base here and totally misinterpreting my posts. Although I agree with most of what you are saying I do not agree with your impression of me or of my views on non-celiac gluten intolerance...or Lyme for that matter. So since you brought the issue up...I will address it here and now. Fisrt...I did not...
  3. Carla....I've read that quite a few times. Basically anyone with any co-infection (in addition to Lyme) will be worse than someone with only Lyme. The more co-infections...the worse the symptoms. I never read that its only babs that makes someone sicker...but all the co-infections can have this affect. The more things you've got going on the sicker you...
  4. It does sound like I'm a stripper with that name!! I definately dont look the part with my jeans and baseball cap. Oh yeah and t-shirt. I dont actually go around topless. I get the ones behind my ears too....I think all my nodes get swollen...plus muscle. I'm totally getting them. My mom told me to pick out what I...
  5. He does risk losing the support of people the longer he puts it off. He cant put it off forever....eventually people will truelly begin to lose faith. I think that either way he's going to lose support...but by putting it off he is probably doing alot better than he will be once he publishes. Thats my feeling anyway....I think if he were 100% confident...
  6. Andrea...I really think so. Last night before my post I cut up potatoes and put them on the baking sheet (for fries). I kind of forgot about them so they burned a little and got stuck to the pan. I took some off and got a major reaction right away. I only ate one! Now that I'm thinking about it whenever my food gets stuck to the pan/pot I think...
  7. Wow! I've never seen anyone post with results above 1000. I thought mine was high at 912. The malabsorption can be caused by lots of other factors. Some of them are listed on the report that Enterolab sends with the results. I knew I had pretty bad malabsorption just based on my weight loss and my stools floating, undigested food, etc. It didnt...
  8. Holy cow...I really DO think I've been poisoning myself with my pots and pans!!! I think this might just be my most heinous discovery of toxic exposure yet. Cant wait to get the good stuff and see if I'm still getting reactions everytime I eat.
  9. I dont remember exactly what it means either...I'm thinking "pulling a Dave" must mean "doing something extremely stupid".
  10. That would make me feel a whole lot better too. Well...I guess it wouldnt have the same effect once it was in my tummy. I would settle for just smelling a 3 musketeers bar. I have to work the candy section again at work. I got away from it for about 6 months but TheDave had to "pull a Dave" and tell my new boss that I do a really good job...
  11. I have to agree with this. I do think Dr. Fine is legit and that his intentions are good. I think he is sincere in what he is doing. However, I think he will run into problems once (or if) he publishes for peer review. I dont think the tests will be validated and I dont think they will ever be accepted by mainstream. This is just my opinion though. I do hope...
  12. Hi Moonlight. I actually dont eat processed foods. I strictly avoided all processed foods while on a Candida diet a couple years ago and then for a short time tried to eat a few gluten-free processed items but it didnt go over well. For the most part I avoid all the processed stuff....except for an ice cream binge that I was on for 8 months. I...
  13. Yeah...I was at my moms. I stop here before work because I leave my work clothes here and I also have to drop my food off. I travel with my little red cooler. I get tempted by the computer.....I get sucked into the vortex. and yeah...I guess people was getting mad at me on that other thread. Me too....me too!! I usually remind Carla...
  14. ROFLMAO Charlie...I literally burst out laughing reading that!! You could be right ....but...OH WELL. I can give up all foods, only drink the purest water at $3 a bottle, change all my cookware, avoid using the heater, avoid all chemicals (including my favorite hair products), etc. I'll pretty much live in a bubble as long as I can have my...
  15. Yup...this pretty much describes me. Most of my pain/imflammation is in my upper body neck/head/shoulders/upper back....just like Laura. My neck and jaw get really stiff. My hands and feet used to be very affected but not so bad anymore. Lower back sometimes gets very achey. Theres pretty much imflammation all over my body...I can feel it everywhere...
  16. Ok so I had an "OMG moment" yesterday. I had a "relevation".... Theres a word from the R-ville dictionary that hasnt been used in ages. So whenever I used to boil any kind of meat for soup or stew I would totally react to the broth. Because of that I had to stop eating homemade soup...I figured maybe it was from high glutamates forming while...
  17. Wow Laura...you've got alot coming up!! Hope you can still manage to rest a little in between all the activity. My Dr. thinks I have Babs too. It showed up in my BioSET and ART stuff but not in my bloodwork. My Dr. thinks I have it based on my symptoms. They can only test for 2 strains of it but there are actually 20 that they know of. Things...
  18. Not everyone gives up on the diet after one month. I've been on the diet for 2 years now even though I knew there had to be more going on with me within the first 3 or 4 months. I plan on remaining gluten-free until all of my other problems are resolved....at that time I will challenge it and see what happens. I think people should trust their instincts...
  19. This is true. I dont think this point is ever made because the majority who test through Enterolab DO test positive.....unlike what is seen in the bloodtests. Some people may test negative through Enterolab for this reason but it seems that most people do get positive results. Another good point. I dont put anything into my gluten sensitive genes...
  20. Andrea...I'm on lunch. Its my normal lunchtime. I was late this morning because I could be. I usually have orders which need to go out by 6 am...this morning I didnt have any going out till 7....so I lagged a little. I havent even felt like calling in sick for the last 3 or 4 weeks now. I'm on a roll....hopefully Dr. S. will be convinced...
  21. Yeah...sometime in June....no date yet.
  22. Andrea....its not rare...just rarely TESTED for. Its the most common co-infection found with Lyme...I've read that some Dr.'s think its present in more than 75% of Lyme cases. Its also one of the biggest factors in why some people cant recover from Lyme. Its because they arent treating the Babs...you will not get better from Lyme treatment if you dont...
  23. Donna....lots of hugs for you today. Sorry about all the bathroom trips....stupid bugs and their "cycles". It could also be something you're taking....its just so darn hard to figure this stuff out sometimes. I hope you get to leave early and that you feel alot better tomorrow. and yeah...thats the picture I saw before!! You do look great...
  24. Thanks for posting that link Bev. I found this to be interesting.. Thats how I feel!! I feel like Lyme doesnt contribute to any of my symptoms. My ART session showed F. Babs ( ) to be more of a problem for me. My Dr. seemed to feel the same way. Also when I take my cats claw for Lyme....I have never had any sign of a herx or anything...
  25. Also....you will never find a post from me thats ever said that I feel people should abandon the gluten-free diet if they are not recovering. In fact I always urge those who are not recovering to STAY on the diet and to look into other possibilities if they are still symptomatic. So how is this misleading or bad advice?? I'm sorry but I dont agree...
