  1. I'm gonna call them tomorrow and find out how soon I can get the results. Yes...I am a very impatient girl...with EVERYTHING.
  2. Believe it or not I've never even thought about dehydration when I get sunburned. I always end up getting burnt working in the yard so you think I would remember to wear sunscreen....but I NEVER do!! The good thing is my arms probably wont burn again...I usually just burn once and then I'm ok...even if I forget sunscreen. About the sun...yeah...
  3. I posted this on a different thread but I'll post it here too...in case anyone is curious as to *why* Igenix is the best lab to use for Lyme testing. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Make sure that if you get tested its not just by any "standard" lab your neurologist might use. As previously mentioned all Lyme...
  4. Yup...I got my blood draw. I forgot to ask if Dr. S will call with the results. It was the ONE thing I wanted to make sure I asked before I left. My stupid burnt arms caused quite a bit of commotion in the nurses station. I think everyone there said "OMG" ....I guess it must be noticeable. I only got burnt on my arms and I wore long sleeves...
  5. Make sure that if you get tested its not just by any "standard" lab your neurologist might use. As previously mentioned all Lyme testing should be done by a lab which specializes in Lyme and has the greatest sensitivity....this would be Igenix. As it is...Lyme is not easy to diagnose via testing....its still a clinical diagnosis based on symptoms...
  6. Thanks! I just love Bear to pieces....he's a total mommas boy. Hes such a good dog...I always have him in the yard with me...he never has to be on a leash in front of the house. He knows to not go in the street....even if his ball rolls out there...he'll stop at the curb and wait for me to go get it. He doesnt wander off and he doesnt chase other dogs...
  7. I've actually done that lots of times but it never really makes a difference. One thing I realized is that all my printers are always on....so I dont know if that can slow things down or not ...my scanner is on as well. I turned of all the printers so we'll see if that helps. I dont turn my computer off all weekend....because its so slow to...
  8. I wonder if I should put some kind of "update" on my original post in this thread. I always feel bad when people take time to type out responses to my first post. I wonder if that would be helpful as many people dont realize how old that post is or how long the thread is.
  9. Wow...I got sun burnt today. On top of being all scratched up....I also got messed up lines...from my shirt and gloves. OK...finally got a pic of my dog Bear up. He's just lounging in the yard. Hes on my personal pic.
  10. Yes...you can be infected with Lyme for a lifetime and not know it. Some people never get sick from it...others get non-specific symptoms which are labeled Fibro, CFS, IBS, etc. How sick you get usually depends on well a persons body can cope with the toxins from Lyme. As with everything...genetics play a role in this. Even if your body is not particularly...
  11. I'm done with the monster bourganvillia......now I just got two little ones. I'm pretty scratched up but not as bloody as last year. I'm not gonna get as much done as I'd like because my green can is full already! I kept getting in the can and stepping on everything and once I somehow had one of my legs go down all through the bourganvillia branches...
  12. Thanks Donna...people do say I look like my mom. I'll have to find a more recent pic of me and my mom. VERMONT LEAF PILES!! EEEEEEEEK!!!! Well....theres NO wind today....I dont even see the tiniest breeze. Its 8 am and it already looks GORGEOUS!! I'm gonna be outside attacking bourganvillias and other fun stuff...I hope I dont get too cut...
  13. New avatar....my personal pic is from a trip to Disneyland when I was a year old. In the pic is Mickey, my mom and me.
  14. For Patti or anyone else interested... Heres the link to Scotts page about mold, lyme and genotypes...susceptibitlity and all that stuff that I didnt pay alot of attention to before. Open Original Shared Link
  15. Donna....GREAT NEWS about finally getting your insuarance checks for BioSET!! Its always a happy occasion opening up reinbursements! Yesterday I opened a letter from Dr. Amy. Actually I kind of ripped it open in a frenzy... I thought it might be letting me know when shes coming back in June....although I'm sure I'll hear from BioSET...
  16. Thanks Patti. I think I'll try it....it cant hurt. I'll do it one folder at a time. Oh yeah....I'm pretty sure you're right about the virtual memory thing Andrea!! Thing is there is not alot of programs running (that I know of) when this message is coming up. Do other things count as running programs?? I have 3 different printers (cuz of scrapbooking...
  17. Patti....I'm sooooo familiar with "the look". Everyone around me is really supportive too....but heck look at how many things I've brought up just during the length of this thread!! Yup...even the title says it...."OMG...I might be on to something!!!!"
  18. All of his articles and electronic newsletters are available on his site. You have to have that Adobe reader thing which views PDF's to see them though. If you dont have I think you can download it from his site....I just never bothered because of my computer running so slow. I think it might take all weekend.
  19. Ok...the wind is dying down....but of course now there is no more sun. The next few days should be pretty boring...the people I talk to the most are all gonna be in Tahoe for Safeway business. I wanna be in Tahoe too!!! Except I'd be doing more fun stuff....not sitting in boring meetings. Yeah....I'd probably be out doing something exciting...
  20. Patti...I hope this info. can help you somehow. Also...if its true that you're having symptoms caused by mold...and you're NOT living in a home where there is a problem with toxic mold...then I would look into Lyme since it could lead to your sensitivity....even if you're not sick from the Lyme itself. The infections (Lyme and co-infections) ...
  21. Thanks Laura!! Anything you can find out would be helpful I'm sure...especially since brainfog inevitably takes over whenever I'm making phone calls. I have to write everything down so as not to forget why I'm calling. The info. you've posted already is very helpful to me.
  22. Alternative health arena.... I dunno about "crusader" but I'll definately try to put all of this scientificness to good use. I still dont know how I retain the info. but I think my brain must be jam-packed by now....dunno how I can fit anything more in there! Theres no room for less significant stuff...like thinking of bill-paying.
  23. Andrea...I think it would be only chronically ill people with BIG mold problems who would be reacting to all grains and all moldy foods. Even if T were sensitive to molds she is nowhere near this level of sensitivity. I would think if she were sensitive at all it would only be the foods with VERY high mold content. DQ2 is just one genotype involved...
  24. Laura, Thanks for your informative post!! I feel the same as you about contacting my previous Dr.'s. The test results wouldnt change anything for me either but OMG...I would *love* to send them to the infectious disease idiot that ridiculed me a couple years ago. I was practically suicidal after seeing him....I had no hope left. I...
  25. Jin, I know how badly you want the Enterolab tests but honestly I dont think they will change your situation much. I had the full panel and the results didnt have any drastic change on anything...it didnt help me any more than any of the other food sensitivity testing that I had done. If I was gonna do it over I would have only gotten the gene...
