  1. Oh Gaaaaawd...I can sooo relate to that right now.
  2. Andrea, Do you remember our conversation about my becoming less shy since I've gotten sick? I had some early signs of mercury "issues" with the rocking, head banging and extreme shyness. They're all considered to be symptoms of mercury toxicity but I couldnt figure out why I'd be LESS shy and LESS inhibited now that I'm MORE toxic. WTH?? So...
  3. I think many of us here can relate to this exactly. I remember lots of discussions about how difficult the holidays are and that for many of us its a reminder of yet another year that we are not completely well. Having a diagnosis does make a huge difference though and I'd bet that next year when the holidays roll around you'll be feeling alot better about...
  4. LOL...I'm sure they can be prepared that way. Unfortunately for me, I cant tolerate HERBS!! I think without the herbs the brownies become alot less "special"...even if they ARE gluten, casein, soy, egg, sugar and everything else free. Its ok...I definately dont need brownies! I'm pretty sure I've had a constant buzz going for the past 5 years...
  5. Nooo....you still have the yeasties too. Sorry....I couldnt resist. Just kiddin...I know its hard but you gotta know that its not only YOU thats wanting the sugar....all the bugs are wanting it just as much. You'll definately do better with treatments if you're off the sugar. I know you already know all this and I'm not trying to lecture...
  6. I'm feeling like I wanna eat spaghetti. I had a bad reaction yesterday after I ate lunch. It was the worst in a quite awhile. Even though I still react to all the foods.....its usually not bringing me down. This last reaction gave me a REALLY bad headache that lasted about 24 hours. It was because I left frozen beef on the counter to thaw.....
  7. Happy anniversary OMG thread!!! Wow....2 years already. It went by fast but at the same time I feel like we've all known each other much longer. Congrats to all of us...past and present Rachelvillians! I think we've come a long way in two years...and I know I couldnt ask for a better group of friends to go through all of this with...
  8. I would second shayesmom's post. If there is a deficiency of the PST enzyme which is involved in detoxification (sulfation pathway)....certain food chemicals cannot be metabolised. Food colorings and other phenols can cause reactions if this enzyme is deficient. As previously mentioned epsom salt baths can help make sulfate available and this will...
  9. Glad to hear that Katy. We'll be here to answer your questions when your ready for that. Tom...congrats on not smoking. It gets easier once you get past the initial cravings. I used to smoke a pack a day (at least)....the past few years I havent even thought about picking up a cig.
  10. Thanks Julie...its not really a big disappointment....probably because I expected it. I already know how I react to sulfur foods and things like NAC...plus my previous reactions to glutathione and whey protein. I figured if I reacted that way I'd know for certain that I cant metabolise the sulfur to sulfate....so its just accumulating to toxic levels. ...
  11. Ok...the rotten egg lotion is NOT gonna work for me. Its not so much that I have to walk around smelling like sewer...that I can totally handle. What I CANT handle is the freakin glutathione making my head swell up and making me feel like crap. Theres just no way my body can handle the glutathione right now. My sulfur metabolism is all messed...
  12. Hello to all my Peeps!! Jin...I totally loved what you wrote about everyone. Very sweet. Hopefully all of the negativity and drama has died down and that you still feel Rachelville is a place where you can be yourself. Donna...glad to see you're back!! Wow...I'm sorry you got so sick...I was starting to get worried since it seemed to go...
  13. Kassandra....not at all...you never come across as narrow minded to me. Its totally understandable to not want to think about additional problems....especially when it seems like AOT already! I can relate to that feeling and its perfectly ok to not want to overwhelm yourself. I just want you to have enough info. so that when you're ready to look...
  14. I think its a good idea to not drink tap water anyway. I think most tap water is pretty contaminated....if its not one thing its another. I drink Penta bottled water...its outrageously expensive but definately the cleanest water I've ever tasted. I'm sure there are plenty of brands of water you can buy that would be safer than drinking tap water...
  15. LOL....Lisa...trust me...all u need is to get in a room with my bottle of TD-DMPS and you wont be smelling the metal anymore!
  16. Patti...awww...I'm so sorry that this issue came up for you. On the bright side...reducing your exposure can make a HUGE difference in how you feel. Yes....scents and other chemicals can cause a whole wide array of symptoms if you're sensitive....and some of them can be pretty debilitating. The list is long....but mine include headache...
  17. Yeah...definately WORSE than garlic. Garlic actually smells quite good in comparison. At least I know I'm using the right stuff...apparantly the "real" stuff should smell pretty bad. Yes....I did feel the need to look into this.
  18. Julie...I think its stress related. You had some extra stuff thrown at you and no doubt that has thrown your body off a bit. I did have that happen to me a couple times early on in my illness but it straightened itself out. I think in my case it was caused by heavy stress. I think once I was about 3 weeks late.
  19. I started TD-DMPS yesterday. OMG....it stinks like rotten egg! Great...Now I'll be walking around reeking of sulfur. I dont know how much I'll be able to handle with the sulfur. Its 4 parts glutathione to 1 part DMPS. The standard dose is 15-30 drops every other day. I read that kids over 60 lbs. can take up to 60 drops...but noone can...
  20. Jin, I agree with Andrea.....dont worry about trying to respond to everyone or catching up with everything. Thats way too much work! We're just happy to "see" you. Sorry about what happened to you on LN. I'm glad you feel safe here and that you're able to express your thoughts without getting attacked. Welcome back.
  21. Hmmm...I dont rememeber posting anything about neurological stuff? Was it the neural therapy? This is from Dr. K.'s site. Neural therpay can be used for alot of issues but for me we'd want to focus on trying to move the metals/toxins out of my head area. I've had acupunture and laser treatment to try to mobilize it but it didnt help. ...
  22. yeah....tea would NOT go over very well. I think I'll stick to my Penta water. Thanks for the email. As far as seeing Dr. Amy....I wouldnt suggest replacing your current Dr.'s or anything...but maybe in the future (if its financially reasonable for you) she could help ALOT with letting you know how effective your current treatment is...or...
  23. I'll probably call him and chat with him (his # was on the back of the paper he gave me). The whole "friendship" thing never really works out that way....not in my experience anyway. So...I'm cool with just talking on the phone. He came back today with more info. about zeolite and the name of a holistic Dr. in my area. Obviously I'm really happy with...
  24. Even though most people I talk to are pretty understanding and even interested in some of this stuff...in the beginning noone really "gets it". Its all new to them....most of us wouldn't have a clue if we hadnt gotten sick. Well...I know I wouldnt....I'd still be living off Big-Macs (and loving it!). I wouldnt have heard of any of the things we discuss...
