  1. I just did some searching around about this and saw a reply on Wiki Answers about this at: Open Original Shared Link The only reason I ask is because of the reply on Wiki Answers, but I am sure they were using a different kind of Heavy Whipping Cream... Anyway, I have a Great Value brand in front of me and it has no milk and I have checked the ingredients...
  2. I have gone undiagnosed for the past 14 years. It started out with a hospital visit with blood work and MRI's and even a spinal tap all negative in April 2000. This concluded to the minds of the doctors that I had mental problems. A straight-A student, perfect behavioral record in school, and no one - except for my family - believed me. It still devastates...
  3. I definitely want some. My twin brother bought me some Gluten Free chocolate and I did have some. Of course I had it in moderation, but I am wondering if this should be avoided completely for a newly diagnosed Celiac or if it is okay. There were only 3 ingredients, which amazed me. It always amazes me how much ingredients Gluten-free foods have compared...
  4. Hello everyone. I am fairly new here, so thanks for all of your help with this. I am wondering how I go about staying on top of Celiac Disease and knowing my progress. Also, what type of doctors should I see for Celiac Disease? As I just recently found out I have this, I really don't know who exactly to see. I've heard it would be good to see a Nutrionist...
  5. In a nutshell, my journey with chronic head pain began at age 13 in 1999. I strongly believe I have been dealing with Gluten Intolerance ever since and only recently discovered that I have Celiac Disease. I have been told by my Allergist that it can take up to 6-8 weeks to be completely Gluten free. Is this correct? I am thinking it will take much loner...
  6. My Allergist said the oddest thing to me on my last visit: "Your first visit you came in knowing that you were Gluten Intolerant. Rarely are my patients right. Usually I lie to them when they say they have this or that because 9/10 times they are wrong." How about wait until a results are done before coming to conclusions. LOL Honestly though, I think...
  7. So I've been shopping once at Sprouts, which has a great selection of packaged Gluten-free foods. The thing is they are ridiculously expensive. I know, overall, that prices can end up being 40-70% more expensive than the regular glutenized (that should be a word ) foods. Are any of the stores better priced when it comes to Gluten-free foods? Any ways...
  8. Hello again. I am trying to get some very, very easy meal ideas together. I have some (three meals) but that is it. I heard that it is wise to start out with three meals and work your way up, to make it easy and also less overwhelming. I really enjoy things like Fried Rice, Chinese Food (White Rice, Chicken, Broccoli), and Alfredo meals (I have one...
  9. Thanks for the replies. Now I understand. Well, this is a shame because I really enjoy cereal. I have been eating milk and gluten free cereal recently, which I suppose I shouldn't do. Any recommendations for breakfast, besides eggs? Of course, I am going to eat eggs, but recently I've had too many because I am still trying to figure out what to eat and...
  10. I recently tested positive for Celiac Disease (138.8/30) and was told I had a very high sensitivity to Gluten. However, I tested negative to milk. I have recently been told by someone familiar with Celiac to avoid milk and go dairy free, even if I was tested negative (and I was). I was wondering why I would do this and if I should? Also, I have heard...
