    We are looking to go to Florida in April, flying the parents over from England, and am wondering how to go about finding the best place to go that will cater to our gluten-free/DF needs...... we will be driving from VA, and I can bring the normal boxes of food, etc that we normally have to travel with, but we will be staying in a hotel/house/who knows what...

    We just looked at what we can eat, and it's very healthy! meats, eggs, fish, veggies, fruits - then I started off with packaged flours, and Udi's bread (so you can make your own chicken nuggets, etc. I found once I changed my mindset about from what we cannot eat to what we can eat, so much changed. Going out is still worrying me, but its great for the finances...

    Thank you - we met with a dietician today and are definitely going to run more blood tests to check her out a bit more. We had only run the celiacs panel and a CBC before.

    Thanks - I know she had reflexes before, which is why I am concerned. She had complained about her legs before, but her old dr put it down to growing pains....

    thank you - I am def not doing an endo on her, that is for certain. We will be a GFDF household, so I guess it is something we will have to address in the future should her test come back negative.

    Is it reliable? She has received gluten through me. The whole house will be going gluten-free anyway, and she is having blood drawn for another test, so is it worth doing the celiac panel on her? With thanks Sarah

    From the reading I have been doing lactose intolerance can go hand in hand with celiacs. All of my family have a problem with dairy. We drink coconut milk instead, and there is coconut icecream that is delicious! So Delicious is one and my favorite is Larry and Lunas icecream - it tastes like the "real" thing.

    Phew! A place to get some answers! My 6 year old had her celiac panel come back positive. We had been on a gluten-free/DF diet for 2-3 months when her test still came back positive. We only found out because we were testing her D levels and allergy testing and our dr decided to do celiacs as well. T'was a bit of a shock. She is seeing a chiro and when...
