  3. Hey guys, I am getting married next year and I was going to start looking, tasting and everything else that goes with looking at wedding cakes. I was wondering if you guys could suggest a bakery, hopefully in Denver, Colorado but if you could suggest a wedding cake bakery that you guys know, love and trust would be great. Thanks Ryann
  4. Yea,its my mom's house and my mom has told her thst se needs to stop it but my sister says thatit isn't that bad and if it was then i would move out but i just had surgery (unrelated to celiac) but i can't move just yet. It seems like she doesn't care.
  5. Hey guys, my older sister has recently moved in with my mom and I she eats gluten all the time. But I have also labeled everything and talked to her about cross contamination and everything but she still uses everything and I still get sick because she refuses to understand how sick. Any ways to get her to understand, I was diagnosed in February and living by myself but I came home after a injury. Any ways to get my boyfriends mom to understand. Thank you, this website is awesome
  6. I love chicken parn, I don't know if I want to make my own breadcrumbs or what. Feel free to give me any suggestions if you have anybody Too hot to do any cooking in or outside, I might make a chicken, pizza with some bacon. Or do a beef taco with refriened beans. I am four months into living gluten free. When the doctor first told me I have celiac he said it takes time for the small intestine to heal. Can anybody elaborate on this? Thanks guys! You all are amazing
  7. Hey all, i was just diagnosed with celiac and was looking at candy and some other foods that contain wheat and or they are processed on things that contain wheat. Such as m&ms they have a pretzel m&ms, have twix and kit kat bars they all contain wheat but they don't say they have wheat in them or that they were processed on the same machines or in the same facility as a facility that processes wheat but they do say contain peanuts or may contain peanuts Why do candies and other things not have to say contain wheat or may contain wheat? What should I do? I've been staying away from the things that don't have a warning but since not all gluten free items say gluten free then I just read then carefully. Please help me!
  8. Ask questions, talk to managers, if you have a smart phone or use of a computer use the application or website find me gluten free. I don't live in Washington but when I do travel then I bring snacks and go to to the grocery store and buy food I can make in the hotel. Good luck!
  9. Hey, I would suggest eating foods that are naturally gluten free, washing everything before and after, getting a desperate sponge and just talking to your roommates about how serious it is. Good luck! I know how you feel I'm in college too and have to share a kitchen and some of my roommates don't care or notice that they get gluten on my food. If you don't have one look into a separate cutting board too
  10. Hey all, I was just diagnosed with celiac disease and I am on a fairly tight budget but I need ideas for lunches. Also if you all can give me lunch ideas for school and work too, I don't really know what will work for reheating. I also am getting tired of sandwiches but if you all can give me more ideas that would be great. Thanks Ryann
