  1. Thanks, Floridanative...at least I know about the Revlon lipglide now....anyone have any info on CityLips or Rimmel? I have emailed CityLips (may do so again), but got no response. I agree that we need to educate these companies that they will be losing customers if they can not provide info.
  2. ( I think my first post about this got lost) Yesterday, I bought the Jane Iredale mineral makeup. It cost more than I wanted to spend, but I needed a pick-me-up after realizing that I couldn't use my old makeup/hair products/grooming stuff. Anyone else use this?
  3. the Infusium company told me that they could not guarentee that ANY of their products was gluten-free...I was asking specifically about their spray on conditioner, but they sounded as if they use Glluten in all of their products. sorry.
  4. I drink red wine & martinis. I don't trust much of anything else.....
  5. What about Rimmel lip products? I can't find where to email (UK site). Thnx.
  6. I use L-Lysine (500 mg). I take it every couple of hours when I first feel one coming on, then I just take one a day...keeps them away
  7. I have been gluten-free for about 8 weeks & want to continue feeling better. I've called a few of my favorite cosmetics to see if they are gluten-free. Infusium 23 (hair conditioner) is NOT gluten-free. I have an email in to CityLIps as I love their lipgloss, but so far, no response. I don't care if anyone thinks I am an extremist, I feel I am affected...
  8. I am so sorry for you....I have also gone thru massive amounts of dental work since childhood. Currently, I am replacing "lifetime" bridgework. You do what you have to do. Don't be afraid to get a second opinion. Keep us posted.
  9. I definately feel as if I am different than when I ate gluten....I was the party girl who would go to every happy hour..I'd even organize them. Now I step back...if I don't feel great or don't think I can get something good that's gluten-free, I don't go. Maybe it's time to take care of myself now. I also prefer to think of this as alone time rather than...
  10. It's so good to hear everyone else's issues. I've been (mostly) gluten-free for two months & I think I'm less tolerant of some things. Right now, I used a perfume that I haven't used in a while & became very ill. I went from feeling fairly good to crappy & the perfume was the only link.
  11. Within an hour, I get rumbling in my stomach, then the brain fog descends. I get the big D, a sinus-type head ache, my hands & feet get freezing, and my right thigh bone aches. I also get very tired, but can't sleep comfortably. This has been lasting about 2 days....but I've only been gluten free for about 2 mos, so I haven't really felt great yet.
  12. My first email from Citadelle said that their gin & vodka were not gluten-free...now I receive another that says the distillation process removes gluten. HELP....(I want my martini)
  13. thank you...this is good advice & I feel better already.
  14. I diagnosed myself as gluten intolerant, but couldn't get into a specialist until December. My Dr. feels that I might be celiac disease, but as soon as I realized what was making me sick, I stopped eating gluten. I feel as if I am between a rock & a hard place. I can't get an accurate diagnoses w/out eating gluten, & I am afraid to eat it. Help...
