  1. Wishing you the best through all of your new treatments and protocols, I really admire your tenacity and never give up attitude. Good health is around the corner for you!

  2. Thanks Julie! I take 2 capsules (can't remember now how much is in each capsule), one hour before bed and, 2 capsules at bed. I take 2, 3mg tablets of melatonin at bed. Both doctors LLMD and the one at the clinic I go to, think it's okay to take them together. The LLMD also gave me another supplement to take, which I've run out of, which is supposed to...
  3. Okay, so I lurk mostly on this thread cuz I just can't keep up, but this just deserved a great big
  4. Well pooh that your flight got cancelled...Claire has to be at the airport at 3:00...maybe you guys can meet up there, lol. The only Johnny U that comes to mind with audible is Johnny Unitas. I didn't grow up anywhere near Maryland--California girl here. Well THAT's good!
  5. Julie, gosh I think I've been taking the 5-HTP for at least 4 months...definitely 2, but probably longer because that's when I saw my LLMD and I know I was taking it for a while before I saw him last. I'm also taking melatonin with it.
  6. Well, I know that up until the first of this year, I felt like I was going to pass out nearly continuously. That feeling has mostly gone away.
  7. I'm going to try to remember to bring my camera, lol. Wow, how awesome is it that you can eat almonds!?! That's amazing! Okie dokie! I didn't try the pot, but I did do nasal washes...I think they helped a little, but at the time I did them I was during the 3-year-constant-sinus-infection period and NOTHING helped. They might...
  8. Here is the protein powder page from Jay Robb's site: Open Original Shared Link
  9. Hi Julie!!!! {{{waving hand wildly}}} Yep, there was a definite thing with the ratio of the carbs, fat and proteins in what the doc gave me. I do take magnesium, but I take two at once for my last evening snack (not the new bedtime one)...maybe I should take one of them at bedtime. Hair is about the same, just a tad longer...will not be...
  10. Nice new avatar! There's one on Camden, but that's not the one, lol. I actually eat with my mom and aunt, so go to one closer to their house. Hum, mine are green, so the light is very dim...maybe I should check out blue.
  11. I thought this was interesting.... (taken from the AOL news story about George W's lyme): "Lyme disease is a tick-borne infection that, if left untreated, can cause arthritis and other problems. Symptoms can include lethargy, joint pain, fever, limping and loss of appetite. A bacterial disease, it can be eradicated with antibiotic treatment in the early...
  12. Okay so the test I had done was called a Metabolic Profile. It tested for digestion of dietary protein and/or an overgrowth of bacteria in the small and/or large intestine. That came out negative which is good. It also tested for Urinary Lipid Peroxides. "Elevated levels of lipid peroxides is an index of cellular membrane damage due to the action...
  13. HAPPIEST OF BIRTHDAYS!!!!
  14. Oh yeah, I'm pretty certain it does. I think Dr. S does too. Dr. Rick may also think so, but he's willing to try a lot of stuff to see if it helps, and this is low cost, lol. I've always been a "light" sleeper, but never used to wake up so much during the night. I'm thinking it must be related to the lyme since that seems to be affecting every area and...
  15. Quick post...got home really late from my appointment. THe good news is that it looks like I am detoxing well. My liver function is normal. They measured 3 things...I'll have to post more tomorrow though. We talked about my sleep again, he wants me to try something new. I described my waking pattern and then he asked me some very focused questions...
  16. Hi Shelly, glad you made it over here! I really thought I had more stuff bookmarked, but don't. Hello and welcome to dadoffiveboys. Okay everyone...I get the results of my liver function test today. I see the PT and chiro first then get my results. I don't know why I'm a bit nervous about this one.
  17. Isn't it amazing what a little support will do. I never knew how important it was to have that support from my doctors until I finally received it from my doctors this last year. It has made all the difference! Welcome!
  18. Yes, I am allergic to almost all of the molds (skin scratch test) and other things. I received allergy shots twice a week for 3 years, which didn't really help much (was allergic to nearly everything they tested me for)...at that point my allergist retired and I started seeing the allergist who took over his practice. They retested me and have a different...
  19. Here is the link that I posted in the other thread (in case you don't want to flip back and forth between the two, lol): Open Original Shared Link
  20. I have used Nystatin before. It was okay. I really didn't notice any major differences taking it...at first I thought it was helping, but after 3 months or so, wasn't sure...I think staying on an antifungal/anti-candida type diet was what helped me more (and the fact that it was naturally gluten-free really helped too). Yep, my end result is about...
  21. Yay! Dang...I should've been watching. I saw on the news the other day that he had tied the record, then completely forgot about it. I hate foggy headedness... From what I've read on LN, people do seem to have good luck with reduced symptoms of this kind once they are on treatment, at least eventually. Just the fact that my...
  22. Hello there. I responded to your earlier thread, with some basic info and a link: Open Original Shared Link
  23. It was made even more dramatic by the fact that both dogs absolutely LOVED people and other animals...my first dog especially...she'd run towards most people, but there was a guy approaching and she would not let me walk on the same side of the street...absolutely dragged me across the street.
  24. Well, I see a lot of people on LN talking about feeling like they're being stuck with needles, so it might be associated with lyme. I also get the feeling like things are crawling on me. I'm also looking through spirochette eyeballs. The animals we had when I was a child were all fraidy-cats, but the two dogs I've had as an adult were fearless, lol...
