  1. Oooooooooohhhh, Jess's av......her eyeball just keeps following me......... everywhere.......! I know, I know.....I'm back.....what a heady experience, cruising the forum, attempting to discipline meself and remain strictly UNsilly. Have the same struggle at home, at important work meetings, at church, the doctor's office..... ...
  2. Morning, Sillies! Gosh, I hope we see Jules today. Alex, you really are an amazing woman in her twenties.....Hell, I cannot see me ever being as self-aware as you are, and I'm now into my forties! I sat with my best friend a few years ago, holding her hand and crying with her after her son was diagnosed with autism....we both were talking about...
  3. Yes, this, for me, was one of the most interesting things Dr. Simoncini speaks about here - - the incredible adaptibility of fungal colonies. The possible link you mention, veggienft, between the new food sensitivities that many celiacs develop when going gluten-free and fungal invasion makes good sense to me. I guess my great big question, after ruminating...
  4. Hmmmmmm.....all very interesting. I must watch the clip again, and try to think like our Jess. There is always the danger with me that I will begin to focus on the grammar in the dialogue.... ..then all is lost scientifically, I fear...... . . ...
  5. Yes......we seem to have earned a magic, much-coveted immunity from punishment o'er here in Sillyville. Methinks they see a "Tickle Me Elbow" post coming in, they roll their eyes and mutter, "Aw, gawd, it's just one of them... ... push it through...... ..no one ever knows what in hell they're talking about anyway"........
  6. Gawd, I would think that they would have to..... . .and I know that you know what you're talking about, Jess. So why is this respected oncologist claiming that it isn't happening? I'm all confuzzled.......
  7. Ursula, I remember you mentioning that you are a big reader of Dr. Joseph Mercola, as I am. He just makes so much sense, and this interview fits in perfectly with everything he purports. I, too, always thought that surgeons cut INTO the tumours and tested what is inside.....it really is incredibe that they don't do this. In fact, I still find it hard...
  8. Oh, goodness......I honestly hadn't thought of you being this hurt, Julie! I just reread some of the conversation about some members' opinions-therefore-undeniable-facts..... . . I do hope we haven't offended you to make you stay away!! You are one of the biggest, fairest support systems on here! Guess our Silly just got too.......what.......Unsilly......
  9. OMG..........I had an MRI of me brain done two summers ago (that's BRAIN, not BRIAN.......hmmmm....might be nice to have him MRI'd.... ) and the neurologist showed me these incredible pics of the results - - lots of squished-up jelly material, some cloudy stuff that could explain a number of my traits, and some equally telling, I'm sure, empty spaces. There...
  10. Once again, well said, Jess. I apologise, too, Julie.....my offhanded, sarcastic line was thrown out for these reasons, as well. Informed choices, and most of all, an open mind, are always needed. And so is a PHUNNY mind. Thank gawd we all have one another here! The craziness of my days just gets a li'l easier, more bearable, when I step into Sillyville...
  11. Ohhhh.....but is that software a vaccine? Because, you know.......I've heard, like, lotsa scaaaaaary stuff..........
  12. I believe we're okay.... .. . for I think it was a dead virus....... Oh, man, Amanda! I sure wish WE were sharing a Brian rather than a brain....don't you? Fish and salad, Nikerler? Sounds fab! Not kippers, as they are only fit for British breakfasts, n'est-ce pas? Nikki! How bloody long have you been attending this...
  13. Hey, Patti and Amanda! Just you two..... . .. a quiet morn here. Whassup wif everyone else? I was just thinking that Jo is what......6 hours behind us? So she is still sleeping. I wonder if her brain turns off while she sleeps, or if it keeps chugging away - - gotta be on yer toes to keep up with her phunnee thoughts! Fires.....never had one here...
  14. I wasn't sure where to place this link as it deals with candida, but as so many members here are effected by fungal overgrowth and some connections have been made between it and gluten intolerance, I figured it fit best here. This is a remarkable piece of film to watch, featuring an interview with Dr. Tullio Simoncini. I was left tearing up with my mouth...
  15. Morning, Sillies! Another running-about, hither and yon day up here. Taking Jack for his first two-hour tennis lesson this am, and Sophie to her hockey camp (yep, serious Canuck kids do it all year - - quite an odd thing, standing in an arena, shivering and pulling a jacket over myself, while it is 90 sweltering degrees just outside the doors)........
  16. Wow, Bev! You sure know how to take a holiday! Sounds like a wonderful time. Maine is SO beautiful and romantic...... Two weeks from today, right, Jess? You'll get wheeled in, start feeling those great drugs, start counting backward........ and the rest will be histor(ectom)y............
  17. Um..... . . . speak fer yerself, there, Jesse Scientist Maximus......... BEV!!!! I SEE YOU!!!!!!!!
  18. I was just re-reading the article, Ptaoughmghmn....just a terrific story. Pat sounded like a man that everybody would love to get to know. Perhaps if the dedication is held off for a while, you may get there...(?)... .. . Okay, we're bracing for ya........ Sad news about Morgan Freeman! Open Original Shared Link
  19. Ew, gross..... But it sounds like a lovely combination to be seen on my palette before I begin to paint something.... (um...my artist palette, not my mouth palette)......yellows, beiges, ochres and siennas. But up yer nose?! Couldn't tell ya what coloUrs are up me nose. Gad, I DO NOT need to know this! Yay, Janet! All fresh...
  20. Morning, Silly Ones! I was just reading the results of the Flugtag competition in the paper. We didn't stay for the entire event, and missed the big winning team from Vancouver's performance. Their pilot flew a huge craft in the shape of a NYC yellow cab about 100 metres above the Ottawa River before it crashed into the drink. Second prize went to...
  21. Thanks, Patti! I needed that....... I'm SO unbelievably lucky to have YOU guys, too... .. .. You make me laugh and cry. Lisa! You have a remarkable dad. True artists are diamonds in the rough, and unforgettable. How lucky you are! Do it, Ptaoughmghmn!
  22. Ptaoughmghmn! I don't know how I missed your posted article on Pat.... ..what an amazing man. Thanks so much for sharing his story with us over the last year. You will go and sit on this bench one day.......
  23. All right. Jess, you have been Silly-Instructed NOT to scream with such ferocity (font size 8, er sumphin'), as it completely strrrrrretchesssss all of our screens, and there must be constant, exhausting scrolling back and forth. Well, Ptaoughmghmn! There is also to be no quoting of said screams......here my screen is back to, like, a kilometre wide!.....
  24. Wow! SO much phunnee stuff in our Hawaiian Jo's post...I dunno where to begin! Golden Globe reporters at yer door....... Janet! You're post-surgery scummy? Zoigs. Yes, get yer leg all wrapped up, hang it outside the shower, and let the warm water wash away that grime. Or a la Judy, you could tuck that wrapped leg outta the way by placing it...
  25. Dunno....... . ..I think we Canucks are forever striving for something....... . .The Journey Toward Being Civilzed.... . sounds quite Canadian. What in hell? Hey! Was that Lisa??! Showing us the next words, now sayings, in ASL?!
