  1. Maybe I've just been lucky but I've taken backpacks full of food on international flights (and domestic ones) and I've never had a problem.
  2. That's a great website, Donna. So I have a great tip for everyone: Apply your foundation wet! Put your foundation brush under the faucet, then dab it into a tissue. Continue as you normally would. Oh wow! It goes on so smoothly and hides pores this way! I love it!
  3. Hey Julie, How are you doing, btw? Did I read on another thread somewhere that you aren't feeling very well?
  4. Yeah, I never thought anything was wrong with the BE brushes until I tried the EM ones. But now, the EM brushes are like velvety, luxurious, soft, wondrousness and the BE ones feel like scratchy, prickly straw in comparison. I think I might bid adieu to my BE brushes when my next EM order comes in (I did get about four years of use out of them, which...
  5. You should call the airline and order a gluten-free meal, but don't rely on it. Bring plenty of your own food onto the plane, in case your meal comes with a big roll on top of it (or some other glitch takes place). Have a fun trip!
  6. I LOVE my flat top brush. It's really great for applying foundation. It's really really super soft, and it applies nice even layers of the minerals. Does anyone else notice that BE brushes feel really scratchy and horrible compared to the EM ones?
  7. I would be equally excited if they came out with a new site that featured tons of new shades and products though!
  8. Well, do you usually buy make-up anyway, because if you do, this will actually save you a lot of money in the long run. A good foundation from a department store can cost almost $28, and you're getting six things (and even the mini sizes last forever). It's probably a worthwile $28 if you found make-up that makes you feel good and doesn't bother your skin...
  9. I'm just wondering if there's something "normal" or common to order besides beer, that happens to be gluten-free.
  10. Thanks for the info Patti. I saw the Maybelline stuff for $4 and couldn't resist (everyone raves about that dang stuff). I just looked up the ingredients, and I can't decode the words well enough to know if there's wheat in it, but OMG it's scary: Water, Beeswax, Ozokerite, Shellac, Glyceryl Stearate, Triethanolamine, Propylene Glycol, Stearic Acid...
  11. So I think I figured out what's causing the little bumps I'm getting all over my cheeks (since I'm sure you are all on the edges of your seats, dying to know ). I've been using toxic mascara and I noticed yesterday that when I remove my eye make-up, I swipe the cotton pad thing across my eyes then across the tops of my cheeks. So for now, I'm...
  12. I think there's an "about everyday minerals" section that's new, or did I just never notice that? (just grasping for something here LOL) No new special yet though.
  13. I am kind of intimidated now. Who does your hair, and can I have her number?
  14. Welcome to the cult! Glad you decided to join us
  15. Sorry you are struggling. Now that you have celiac disease, you have to change your mindset about food, especially when you travel. Food will no longer a major part of travelling, or a major part of socializing while travelling, but that doesn't mean you won't be able to find things to eat. Try doing a quick google search to see if there are any...
  16. Hey, have you joined our Everyday Minerals Cult yet? If not, come over to the thread!
  17. Thanks, you guys are so nice. One day if I'm feeling brave I'll post before *shudder* and after pics. Hmmm...on second thought, maybe I'll just keep pretending that my face with eight layers of foundation and ten layers of concealer is what I really look like So who's going to be next to post pics? Colleen, Joni, Paula? C'mon guys, we all...
  18. hehe thanks, Patti. My butt hurts from sitting on it too much today (what a waste of a Sexy Sunday LOL j/k) so I'm off to the gym. Have a lovely evening everyone. Hopefully we'll wake up to a new special tomorrow
  19. That's because it's Sexy Sunday! LOL We'll see how long I can handle looking at a pic of my face every time I post lol That's what I'm wearing today too, but I threw some Hot Chocolate and Cherry Fizz in there as well, along with Starry Eyed for a liner (hey, why wear only two shades of eye shadow when you own three hundred! )
  20. Sorry, Susie! LOL I hope you like them though.
  21. They are soy-free, but I believe they contain egg whites (sorry ). I will double check though.
  22. Yeah, the large containers are absolutely ginormous. A full sized container of blush would basically be a lifetime supply
  23. I'm really procrastinating right now (so much to do!), so I thought it would be fun to take a pic of all my make-up containers, just so you guys can laugh at how much of this stuff I own already (I know, what a productive thing to do with my time LOL) The webcam on my computer didn't truly capture the insanity of it all, but here's my attempt LOL: ...
  24. Natural blush is not like warmth. Soft Bronzer is kind of the same concept as warmth, but it's much much much much much much (cannot emphasize it enough lol) lighter.
