  1. Has anyone ever mentioned IBS (irritable bowel syndrome)? I'm asking this because: 1. There is no way to accurately test for a gluten sensitivity. If you are negative for celiac, go off gluten & feel better, then you have a sensitivity. 2. Often times people with IBS are treated with a FODMAP diet. One of the FODMAPs is gluten. So, your increased...
  2. Sorry you are going through so much. For many it's a big puzzle that slowly gets put together. I agree with eating Whole Foods right now that naturally contain no gluten. In saying that, your doctor mentioned irritable bowel syndrome. This has symptoms like celiac & many with celiac have it. So many suffer from it. Also, look up SIBO (small intestine...
  3. Often when first diagnosed it's best to eat Whole Foods that are naturally gluten-free for the first 3-6 months. Agree with the no oats (even gluten-free) the first 6 months. 4. As above keep eating gluten. These symptoms could be for a variety of reasons. Not only celiac & gluten sensitivity, but also IBS or SIBO. If you do not get clear answers, find a good GI doctor. I know that can be hard to do, but reach out to these types of groups or local support groups.

There is a reintroduction phase, but it is very specific. I recommend seeing a dietitian that specializes in GI nutrition, which should include knowledge of IBS...
  6. I agree with Dark Angel. Take a look at the FODMAP diet. I would not do the FODMAP diet on your own. It is very specific & it is recommended to have a knowledgable dietitian guiding you through the process. Let me know if you have any questions.
