  1. Barabara's Puffins are fabulous. Gorilla Munch is good and the Panda Puffs are also excellent, but my vote is the Puffins.

    ARCHIVED Las Vegas

Why thank you! I plan on taking plenty of goodies with me, but I don't want to be stuck in the room all week. I was hoping to hear someone talk about one GREAT restaurant that caters to us Celiacs....I could just chew on lettuce all week!

    ARCHIVED Las Vegas

Calling all Celiacs! My husband and I are going to Las Vegas in July, and I'm haing a lot of anxiety about being away from home for so long and without my bread and acess to gluten-free goodies. I'm planning on calling the Hotel (Mandalay Bay) before we part to discuss my situation and to see if they have any good recommendations, but I was wondering...
  4. That's great! I'm trying to see if they can find a store close to my home to sell their products. Hey we shouldn't be limited to a number of cookies. We've had to suffer long enough. I say, "Eat away!"
  5. I've enjoyed Gluten Free Gourmet by Bette Hagman.
  6. Hello Everyone! I have to say I just had the greatest experience this weekend. My in-laws, husband and I just got back from South Sterling, PA (in the Poconos) and we stayed at The Sterling Inn where I was treated like royalty! We called ahead of time (after 5 other calls) and once we mentioned my diet they immediately were helpful stating that they...
  7. Yes true. It's so easy to blame everything on gluten..haha. I'm so frustrated and just trying to find an answer. thanks for your input. Emily
  8. Anyone get reoccuring urinary tract infections maybe as a link to gluten or other food allergy? I used to get them frequently, about once a month, but then I've been clear for about a year, now I've had 3 again in the past 5 months. I was wondering if anyone else has had the same issues? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you! Emily
  9. Hello Faithperson, first of all welcome to the site! This is a wonderful resource of information! Second, I firmly believe that the gluten free diet will assist with your migraines and your iron depletion. Good luck and keep us posted on your status! Thanks, Emily
  10. This concerns me. I've never heard of H Pylori before now, but I get those crazy hunger pains all the time. I eat about 6 times a day and it definitely makes me feel better after I eat. What other symptoms can occur?
  11. I will get night sweats too...I used to get them all the time before going gluten-free. Now if I accidentially ingest it I'll get cramps or I call them charley-horse in my feet and I'll get nose bleeds too - which I think is weird. So pretty much anytime something weird happens I contribute it to gluten. What helps if I accidentally ingest it, I'll drink...
  12. Wow...how miserable! I would've walked away too! In regards to your adrenal fatigue, I would recommend some relaxation therapies! Regular Massage Therapy helps restore the body back to homeostasis and regulate the endocrine system to your normal levels. I might also consult with a reputable Acupuncturist in your area...Help your body heal itself ...

    ARCHIVED Gerd !

A natural form of medication is Ginger Root. I haven't tried this, but my good friend uses it often for her reflux. She gets it in pill form from the Heath Food Store. Emily
  14. Hello Everyone! I've been watching the entries these past couple months and really getting a kick out of the responses. My favorite today was, "annoying comments." HAHA!
