  1. I did have an endoscopy, but that was more than 3 years ago. I did feel sick a lot before I found out I had celiac disease...but we all know why. I felt tons better for awhile, but then the nausea would come back every now and then. But this time, its almost unbearable. I don't have many chances to actually rest, so I have to work through it. You have...
  2. I really appreciate everyone's input! I've tried cutting dairy out of my diet before, and didn't notice a change. I talked to my husband about it, and he agreed to help more at home and with the baby to lower my stress and to make it a priority that I get some more exercise. I'm also going to go to my family doctor and talk to him about the acid reflux...
  3. Do you think I should try to do the treatment for adrenal fatigue before I spend tons of money going to doctors that might not be able to diagnose me? Does it take a long time to feel a difference? However I just want this figured out. I guess I should go back to my gastroenterologist. I have yet to meet a family doctor who really knows much about...
  4. I was diagnosed with celiac disease as a junior in high school after a 5 year battle trying to find out what in the world was wrong with me. I was ecstatic to finally have a name for what I felt, although it meant a total life change, and I've been gluten free ever since. Every once in awhile I get nauseous, but this nausea lasts for weeks on end.....
  5. I would definitely breast feed your baby. As skoki mom said, you can't "catch" celiac disease. If you have it in your genes, it's there for life, but you cannot just catch it from breast feeding or anything like that. Even if you have celiac disease, breast feeding is one of the healthiest things you can do for you and your baby. I am certainly going...
  6. I am about 8 weeks pregnant and nothing I do will even phase my queasiness. I feel sick when I'm hungry or if I just ate what sounded really good to me (gluten free of course)! I think celiac disease is hardest on pregnant women with it, since we inevitably crave all these different foods we absolutely cannot have. Especially since it's not just about...
  7. I just found out I'm pregnant about a month ago, and I'm about 8 weeks along I think. I am feeling extremely sick as well. If I don't eat I feel really queasy, but if I eat, I feel really queasy too! It doesn't even matter what I eat either...no matter what...I feel sick. I'm praying that it's just from being pregnant and not from something I have eaten...
  8. I have been gluten-free for almost two years and a year before being diagnosed, I had to go to an eating disorder clinic for bulemia. Even before that I was anorexic....but didn't get any help for that. During this summer I've been making myself throw up a LOT again...more than I did before....I've slowed down recently...and have gained weight. I'm so...
  9. I'm with Clanning and Cmom. I just turned 19 and have been trying to be gluten-free since 17. I'm 5'1" and lost almost 20 lbs prior to going gluten-free. Since then I slowly started to gain some of it back...but recently have been packing on the lbs and I am none to happy about it. It really upsets me and gets me very depressed about everything in life...
  10. I live in Danville, Indiana...and I really would like to get a support group started here in central Indiana to make more people aware of celiac disease, seeing I haven't really heard much of support groups or awarness programs around here...I don't believe there to be any, and even if they are...I doubt they are very successful. So if there are any celiacs...
  11. I'm 18, almost 19, and I was diagnosed just over a year ago. It's a good day for me to read your message on here, because I'm having one of those "bad days." Actually about a bad week. I have been gluten free for a year...and I lately I've had some stomach aches...like I'm extra sensitive to anything that isn't fruits or veggies or rice. Today I am feeling...
  12. I need as much help as I can get paying for college , and thought that maybe there was something for celiacs! It's worth a shot...there's scholarships for left-handed people!
