  5. I no longer live in Williamsburg, but my friend's mother is part of a support group there. I am pretty sure they meet at the Williamsburg Ukrop's. I'll drop her an email and find out the specifics.
  6. This is all so crazy! I don't have any health insurance really, so I haven't gone in to get tested, but now I figure, why even bother? I'd just be wasting my money! Through changing my diet I know that I cannot eat gluten, however I am worried that I may be allergic to other stuff as well. I guess I just need to wait until I get out of grad. school, get...

  11. HI, There are a couple good places for gluten-free food. Corbett's fish house is GREAT! I am from Wisconsin, so I am a little biased. Also, Assagio on SE 13th and SE Lambert Andina (in the Pearl) and there is a pizza place in Lake Oswego that makes a gluten free pizza, but I can't remember the name--something like Telmercado, I forget. Also, Piece...
  12. I really wonder if anyone else cheats on occasion like I do, or if you all are true gluten-free die-hards.
  13. I wanted to ask before I bought them. Are they yummy or kinda gross? I am somewhat picky about attempted gluten-free crackers. Thanks!
  14. I totally agree with this...I no longer have major bloating right after I eat, so I tend to be able to fit a lot more in. I am definately not happy with the weight I've gained and it makes me feel terrible about myself. Once it warms up a little bit, I am going to try and bike to work every day. Wish me luck
  15. Yeah, I love her pancake mix too!
  16. Sure, I used Arrowhead Mills Corn Meal and Bob's Red Mill Corn Flour.

  19. I got this from a local natural foods store deli while my mom was visiting in September, we loved it and copied down the ingredients. 20. Hello, Here is my favorite cornbread recipe. I mixed two of Bette Hagman's recipes to fit what I have on hand in my kitchen. Orange Cornbread 1 cup yellow cornmeal 1 cup corn flour 1/4 cup sugar (you could use less probably) 2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt (or a little less) 2 eggs, beaten 1 cup milk (I used skim) 1/...

  22. Hi all, I am not sure I am allergic to soy. I never thought I was, but I recently got soy milk and my stomach hasn't been feeling too good. Anyone out there that is allergic to soy? Can you tell me some of the obvious symptoms? Thanks! ~K
  23. HI Everyone, I have been looking at this site for a long time and I have finally registered so I can post! Took me long enough! Anyhow, I have been having a hard time digesting light string cheese, the ingredients don't look like they have gluten, but I almost always get a stomach ache. Does this happen to anyone else? Thanks and i look forward...
