  1. I have yet to see my temp. go above 97.8--but that is right one the border, right? Sometimes lower--like 97.3. I'll have to talk about doing a temperature graph with my ND...although, is 97.8 even really worth worrying about?
  2. How'd you get your doctor to prescribe you Armour on a "trial" type basis? I'd like to try it but not sure how to get this to happen... Thanks! ~K
  3. Very true Georgie...Once I get them, I may post them up here to see if some of you may be able to help decipher it all. I haven't been checked for adrenals yet...I suppose that may be our next step. I know something needs to be helped but don't know what...I can see why everyone feels like a hypochondriac on this forum...it's nerve wracking (sp?) and makes...
  4. Well, my thyroid levels apparently look good according to my naturopathic doctor...she sent me the results but I haven't got them yet. So now what? I still don't know what's wrong with me...and I have no ideas anymore. Could be adrenals, I suppose. Sorry, just venting, I guess. Hypoglycemia is a daily struggle and I wish I knew the underlying cause!
  5. I've looked everywhere for it...in Portland, OR and Hampton Roads, VA...can't find it!!! I'm so impatient
  6. I just did a google...seemingly, they're linked! Anyone else had all three issues?
  7. Hello, I was wondering if any of you with thyroid problems also have TMJ or ear, nose and throat problems? I do not know if I have thyroid problems, but I do have sort of a constant chronic "head cold" that is supplemented with TMJ. Just curious if there is a relation between the three. Thanks! ~K
  8. I'm not sure about hyper...I sometimes go through stages where I can't sleep, but that may be more to do with hypoglycemia. It's hard to figure out. Thanks for all the wonderful info!!!
  9. I know someone who had chronic sinus infections...her doctor suggested that she go to an allergist. She did. The allergist said that he wants to test her for food allergies...she was allergic to all sorts of things, including wheat...but also apples. potatoes, pepper...etc. Once she cut those out of her diet, her sinus infections stopped. Have you been...
  10. I got the antibody test as well...I am kinda anxious to get the results. When you tested positive for the antibodies test, did they treat you with anything? THanks!
  11. What is a DO? I had the whole panal of thyroid tests so it should be pretty accurate...but I haven't received the results yet. I am gluten-free and I have been for a couple years...interestingly, my hypoglycemia seemed to calm down considerably after I moved to go to grad school...and my diet changed...I becaome a lot more strict with my gluten-free diet...
  12. Hey everyone, I recently went to a naturopath and she indicated that i really need to get my hypoglycemia under control. She gave me some tips as to how to do this...like eating every two hours, no sugar, etc... However, from what I've read on WebMD and Mayoclinic.com it seems like hypoglycemia is caused by an underlying health condition rather than a...

  19. Hey everyone! So my mother really wants me to "get tested" for celiac...I already know that i have it and have been gluten free for a couple years now. However, she must think that I am either not well enough educated on it and should talk with a specialist about my diet and she thinks that I need to "be tested." I think she's afraid that I'll end up with...
  20. Fuji=gross...
  21. So...there's lots of controversy over soy...I'm a vegetarian with celiac...so soy has become my savior. Can those who are no allergic to soy (because for obvious reasons you do not eat it) tell me why or why not you eat soy? Thanks so much in advance! ~Kiara
  22. Do you know if you need a big mixer for Anna's breads or can you just use beaters or knead it by hand? THanks in advance!
  23. Allison, Are you really stressed? I haven't has acid reflux since I was eating gluten (3 years ago)--and now I'm gluten free but got some major stress...the GERD kicked in after I was in a bad car accident and because I have a fairly stressful career, it just doesn't want to go away! I know they say alcohol is bad for the GERD, but a glass of wine with...
  24. My GERD has been incredibly painful lately...to be honest, it made me realize that I had it when I was eating gluten. It went away for a couple years and now it's back worse than ever. Is there a link between gluten consumption and GERD? Thanks!
